Well Kap just re did his deal. Took injury clause out. Proof that it was front office not playing Kap and making the change.
Looks like Kap will start next game after this deal.
wow, very interesting from Kaep's perspective.
IF it is the Front Office telling Kelly not to play Kaep, Baalke should come out and say it. He shouldn't let fans blame Kelly.
Just my opinion. Weird that they didn't put him in at least in some of those 4th Q or 2nd half and out of no where they re do the deal and good feeling he starts. I'm just trying to connect the dots.wow, very interesting from Kaep's perspective.

yeah he becomes a FA after this year now if he wants to.i guess it makes sense from Kaep's perspective. You want to generate interest in the free agent market, and you have to play to do it. If he doesn't play well in this offense, it is almost the same as his value now.
no way he comes back to the 49ers after this year even if he lights it up. He wants out. Just sucks because if he did light it up at least we could of traded him for something good.If/when Kaepernick signs elsewhere next year, SF gets a compensation pick per Jason LaCanfora.
Wow! The Niners WILL get something for him! Christmas in October....

He's going to Cleveland. Nah, I'm kidding.
Stick with Gabbert and tank the season.
No ,and the risk of Kap getting hurt is more troublesome than playing him. He isn't in the right frame of mind to play. Just looking at him you can see something ain't right. Play with Ponder if needed but the 9ers aren't winning shit this season.Inserting Kaepernick doesn't alter that path either.

Do you have a link for that? The last I saw was that the 9ers had to pay out if he gets injured. He apparently restructured his deal to put his best effort on tape so he can cash in as much as possible next season. The risk of Kaepernick getting hurt is on him, himself, now that SF is off the hook with this supposed revised deal.

This I have to somewhat agree. I started thinking about this after watching him last night on the sideline. Football isn't on his mind and standing up for something is more important. Yea . I took a look into it. not a done deal yet:Kaepernick, 49ers working on restructured contractPer Ian Rapoport: #49ers and QB Colin Kaepernick are closing in on a restructured contract to alleviate concerns regarding injury guarantees, source said

I just don't think we will see it this season. Too many holes now to fill with Bowman out again. sadly looking toward the next season already. Time to see what some other players can do in a real game and not just in OTAs and preseason. Maybe we will find some gems that can play when it matters. This I have to somewhat agree. Either way I just want to see change.
