The question is as I see it, will the Orioles decide they want to compete for the post season. If so, then they have to improve their production at the plate. Defensively, they are one of the best, if not the best team in MLB.

Can they adjust their game enough on offense to get themselves into a position to play in the post season.

Sporting a .235 avg. there is no reason for Weiters to be swinging away. That should have been a bunt all the way.

The Orioles don't seem interested in manufacturing runs. The trouble is they are not productive looking for the long ball. That ship sailed in May.

i like small ball also, but the o's are either first or close to the first in team home runs this season. if your team hits dingers you dont slow it down to sacrifice this early in a game.

Check the Oriole run production. It has been dropping since May. I just don't feel they are productive enough at the plate. Also, look at the team batting average. It has been dropping since May as well. Machado, Davis, Jones all lost 30 points off their average in 30 days. I don't think their search for the long ball is going to net them a post season spot.
