He couldn't have done any worse than that future HOFer they drafted last year.

I am missing Justin Herbert. I wonder if this organization could screw that up if they drafted him 2nd.

While Kerrigan is not a future HOF guy, I think for this defense, he made the guys around him better.

And his presence is missed if the last three games are any indication

If nothing else I think they miss the veteran presence that shows younger guys how an NFL player should work and act.

RK was, still is, my fave modern day Redskin, but he doesn't make one iota of a difference on this team. None.

I think even at his age he is an above average D-lineman who also happened to play the role pf traffic cop on this team. Watching this team, no one is doing that. Or if they are, its not either obvious or effective.

Not sure what his impact is or will be on the Eagles, but I will disagree with you as I think he would and did make a difference on this defense.

Hey shark, how ya doing? We definitely need someone directing these young guys because they are getting their asses kicked. I just don’t get it. They do have talent in that front four, but, for whatever reason they aren’t even close to applying consistent pressure on anybody. This is where we need the next RK to step up and that probably needs to be Jonathan Allen. He is the senior vet in that unit. He just got his new deal. It’s time to step up and assume the mantel.

but I’m not so sure that this alone will solve this defense’s problems. they are not prepared. this is a coaching issue. We just are not putting the right guys in the right place. We are playing a prevent defense with talent that is better at attacking. We don’t blitz much and we have our DBS playing off, usually in a zone. It ain’t working. Every QB has feasted on our defense right up the middle just behind the LBs. we make no adjustments.

What’s aggravating and unbelievable is sitting here watching “washed up, slow” josh Norman running stride for stride with Adam’s

What's does RK do this year that he was unable to do in previous years when he was still ballin. Was he traffic copping in 2013 when the Skins fell off a cliff after making the playoffs in 2012?

What about in 2016 and 2017 when after winning the NFC East in 2015, The Skins slid right back into a middling NFC east poop-butt of a team with a worse and worse record each year?

Where was he in 2018 when @ 6-4 after 10 games. The Skins did yet another late season swoon dropping 5 of the next 6 to finish that year once again with another 7-9 record?

There are no do-overs and in that respect anything that RK would or could have done to improve this defensive team is moot because he didn't do whatever it is that some speak of when he was here. With respect to the more important contribution involving this guy, Washington failed to take advantage of his trade value when they had it. Football being a young man's game, trading him, two or 3 seasons ago might have netted this team at least one of the linebackers that it desperately needs. Think about this for a moment, trading Kerrigan in his 7th, likely 8th season and is now in his 10th year for a draft pick or younger player who would now be in their 2nd or 3rd year filling a very obvious need.

So, let's get away from the wishful wrong headed nostalgia about Kerrigan and settle ourselves in reality about him. He gave this team six really good seasons, but from that time forward his real value involved what this organization could have gotten for him in trade. They failed to recognize this and all we have to show for this misstep is memories that aren't even accurate.

There have been pressures tbf
Let us keep this in mind, Ryan Kerrigan is 33 years old and well past his upside. Chase Young is 22 years old with major upside. To conflate the two as if they are equal based upon a similar stats, is deceptive, misleading, and misguided.

I definitely am not. Neither is anyone with any sense.

Our Linebacker situation is still crap and Collins needs to be moved to Linebacker and Curl to Strong Safety what they are trying to run now just doesn't work with teams running more spread offenses

They are running a 4-2-5 as a base defense now. Should they get rid of all the LBers?
