That was a terrific call by the ump. Things like this happens real fast and they're capable of making the correct calls. Kudos to them.

+like. I think refs/umps (especially NFL) get a LOT of unnecessary hate. The game moves SO fast and there's so many things happening it's ridiculous fans scrutinize them 24/7 with PERFECT angles/slow mo and announcers swaying the opinion. I feel baseball is less scrutinized because it's a 'slower game' but plays like that... WOW.

Whenever someone mentions terrible officiating (usually in person) I always counter with, "Could you go out there at the speed the game is played and do a good job?" I usually shut those people up fast.
