Series Thread: Three games in Texas, Apr. 27-29

Great start by walker. So this year he's had two turrible starts. One good start and One Awesome start. I think with a young guy you need to expect some ups and downs. Let's hope as the season gets going he has more ups then downs. Maybe the extra juice of his first start, and then dont forget his second start was Jackie Robinson Day, IN LA. So the last two starts are him settling into a groove????

Anyway its nice to see.


Anyone hear about their flight in? Apparently Texas was getting big weather, Willlie was interviewed on the radio pregame, said it wasn't the worst flight he's ever been on,,,,but was really close. Said the pilots did a great job getting them there safe but it was REAL choppy

I heard about it.

The scariest flight I've ever been on was in Texas under the exact same circumstances. I think it was even in April.

My unit was flying from NC to San Antonio, and got hit by a similar storm about 20 min before landing.

The difference was that it was a C-130. Only people who have flown in one would understand. Hair raising to say the least.

I flew in C-130s quite a bit, actually, and descending always sucked. But that storm in Texas was kind of terrifying. A couple of guys threw up descending on that one.

Geez... Really? Detwiler had a 10.95 era w/ a 0-2 record coming into the game... He hasn't made it past 5 innings this year in all 3 of his starts... The M's torched this guy at Safeco last week...
