Honestly at this point just going to back out of this conversation. I find myself getting pretty frustrated as I'm sure others are as well. One final thing I would recommend for all to look into is what Brandon Marshall went through this summer. To say he is a millionaire and has everything perfect in his life and has no ground to stand on when dealing with this type of issue just don't understand what all happens in this world because of the color of your skin. I've lived in different parts of this world and this isn't just a US issue. This is a world wide issue. And like I said this is a very personal issue that Brandon Marshall went through just this summer where gun shots were fired near a restaurant he was eating at and everybody was asked to leave the restaurant. AS he was walking out a random woman screamed at him and told the police to get that man. Next thing he knew he was slammed up against a wall by a few police officers and having a taser aimed at him. All because some random woman saw him and screamed that the police should get him.

I've argued all off season that it's not an unreasonable expectation that the offense improve. If I turn out to be right there will be no living with me!

Hey I've been with you through it all. I have said that the OL improvements with Stephenson and Okung would be huge. Throw in actually being able to run Kubiak's real scheme with our new FB that so few teams ever use. And then of course the QB play that it wouldn't be hard to at least duplicate what our QB's did and that it wouldn't be unheard of to even see better QB play than what we did last year. Mostly though that our run game could be deadly even with subpar QB play if that is what we got. And we saw against maybe the best front-7 in football on Thursday just how deadly this run game can be.

Not everyone can start a business of their own. It's an impossible model that is not sustainable. The American capitalist economy needs worker bees too.

Yes, you have. We've fought the good fight, proclaiming this team to be far better than anyone in the press gave it credit for.

One thing that I find interesting is in a traditional Kubiak system, the run sets up the pass. Through the preseason and in week 1 it was the pass softening up the front 7 for the run. If memory serves, the Broncos attempted 5 straight passes. What's interesting about that is you'd think the Broncos had every reason to use the run more early. Great defense and a reliable run game. But Kubiak insisted he trusted his QB and a few of the analysts (I think it may have been Dungy) pointed out that it's not a huge endorsement of trust if Siemian looks at the scripted plays and they're all runs. And of course, by the end of the game the offense had achieved a very healthy balance. I had my worries about the line going in, and I recognize we have played only one game. But it was against a very good front 7 and our line delivered the goods, both in pass blocking and run blocking. Again: It's just one game. But so far there is reason to believe this offense is going to be better than the 2015 version.

Honestly maybe one of the things I have been most impressed with over last season and the start of this season is the growth I have seen in Kubiak as a coach. He is no the same guy that got fired from Houston a few years ago. I remember listening to the radio all week leading up to our game against the Panthers and them talking about how they wish that Kubiak would spread the Panthers out and really shock them with doing some 3-wide and 4-wide formations early on since they would be expecting the run game early and often in this one. They said though that Kubiak would never do that because it does not fit his scheme well and it goes against his nature. So then what does Kubiak do he spreads them out and does some work out of the shot gun and really tests those rookie corners early on which then set up the run game later in the game.

We saw last year him willing to give on running his scheme to make Peyton feel a little more comfortable. Unfortunately it didn't work out the best but it still shows he is willing to learn and grow and go against some of the norms of his own scheme if it is in the best interest of the team. We have fought very hard as fans to have a coach like that. Fox was the complete opposite in his scheme and game plan is what they stuck with throughout the game whether it was working or not. Del Rio was even worse. Nothing drove me nuts than the two of them trying over and over the exact same thing to watch it get beat then in turn especially Del Rio sometimes blaming the players for not executing.

Anyway just excited to watch football today! No pressure on our team or us fans as our team already secured victory!

^ I'm with you on being able to sit back and enjoy football today. And as usual this early in the season I am dying to see how the other AFC West teams look. I'm glad there's an AFC West matchup in week 1 and that's the game I'll watch in the early action. I'll get a good look at two rivals. I think the Chiefs will win, but I think the Chargers are a feisty team that will not allow the home team to run away with it.

PREDICTION: The Chiefs win, and following the win will spend the ensuing week proclaiming how their win over a team coming off a 4-12 season is superior to the Broncos win over the defending NFC Champs coming off a 15-1 season. I'm not going to try to predict their rationale for such claims because you really can't make up the kind of stuff Chiefs fans write about. Suffice to say they'll come up with something to rationalize that narrative. Book it.

Also, I think the Saints, a team for which I've seen both zero expectations as well as closet consideration for a playoff team, take the Raiders to the woodshed today. It's week 1 and a lot of weird things can happen in week 1. The Dome is a tough venue to play in and the Raiders are a team with a lot of young players as well as a lot of new faces. This game could easily turn into a 42-10 beat down. I don't think it'll be that bad, but I think the Raiders will be on the wrong side of a lop-sided loss. Maybe something more like 31-17 or so.

His actions had absolutely zero effect on me or my life. He didn't change the way I recognize the flag or anthem, didn't change the fact I still go work on Monday. The way I see it, getting offended by his actions here is no different than getting offended for something perceived as being "PC". To me, being offended is just a waste of my energy, and as such I refuse to let it bother me.

And just because you think there will always be injustice shouldn't mean we as a nation should just give up on fighting it. We should always strive to set the highest bar we can as a nation, instead of simply being happy that the status quo isn't worse.

This is the last post I'll make on this subject. You have the choice to either let this eat away at you until you're miserable, or to simply shrug it off and live your life the best way you can.

I wish these "youngsters " that are sitting and kneeling, would read the history books especially Civil War and MLK Jr. Lots of lives sacrificed/lost and major changes made so they could have the opportunity they now have to bring more awareness without disrespecting the country and those that died for their rights to continue to make America better without disrespecting the very flag that has helped " them " achieve a good life in this Country. They don't have a clue about what sacrifice stands for and what it really takes to make changes . Think they just might need a refresher course and maybe they would act differently. Maybe not. :(

No, actually I think MLK would very much approve of their actions to use peaceful demonstrations to attempt to bring to light social injustice and the racism still rampant in this country. It is kind of what he stood for. Oh and if you believe that the Civil War was started over freeing the slaves, you really, really need to reread about the Civil War because you are flat out wrong.

Wow, just wow. Why don't you just stand up in the back of your raised pickup truck, wave a US flag, drink a beer, and shout Merica!!! to the world and stop talking about this whole thing. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about on any of it.
