Ron Rivera cost the Panthers a win with the worst coaching mistake of the week

A lot of times in this league it is not so much that teams go out and win games but that one team makes the mistakes that go out and lose the game. Now given honestly the Broncos made plenty of errors along the way but just happened to find enough plays to win the game. The 12 men on the field seems like such a stupid penalty for NFL teams. A lot of miscommunication between coaches and players on that part. The hands to the face penalty on 4th and 29. Pretty much players need to know just don't get the stupid penalty that gives them an automatic 1st down.

And we could have had some others that looked bad if they didn't work. Like going for it on 4th and 1 at the goal line instead of kicking the field goal to tie the game. You look like a genius if you pick it up and are mocked if you don't. Same for Del Rio going for 2. If the team doesn't get that they are mocked left and right this entire week. They got it so he is a genius.

I agree with you. Both teams make mistakes. Winner is usually the one that can better cash in on those mistakes. Broncos did last week. Hopefully we keep that going.

We definitely cashed in when we could. Scored a touchdown off the one turnover that we forced. Where Carolina off the 3 turnovers they forced only scored 1 touchdown. So our mistakes didn't cost us quite as much as some might think. Just again the power of our defense to keep the offense in it no matter how much they mess up.

Hopefully we can clean up some of those mistakes and can actually play a turnover free game for once. Last year we had 2 games where we didn't have any turnovers. The Bears game and the Pittsburgh game in the playoffs. And if I remember right we had about 2/3rd of our games that had multiple turnovers on our part.

Honestly if we stopped turning the ball over this year I think we could actually have some of these games that don't end with me hoping I don't have a heart attack before I see the end result. Would love to have a couple of games like the Green Bay game where you can sit back and actually just enjoy the game for the 4th quarter.
