I'm sure OC would've brought this up but Dixon didn't look great punting tonight, he wasn't terrible with punts of 44, 54, & 42 but that last one where Carolina got the ball on their 40 yard line was brutal. Obviously it was his first game as well so he wasn't on his A game(looking at you Booker) and there's no guarantee Colquitt would've been better because he was known to shank quite a few punts but we still need better and more consistent production.

Yeah his last punt was awful. First few weren't bad.

Panthers were impressive - and appear to be a great team.

Trevor Siemian played very well - throws a ball like Brian Griese. Siemain did indeed play like a vet for most of the game.

CJ looked sensational. Jano - was awesome.

Surprised that the Panthers did not get a offensive holding call - they were practically undressing the Broncos on every play in the 1st half.

Broncos won again in the 4th quarter - showing themselves fresher than the opponent at the end.

Nice way to start the season.

Defense needs to play a full 60 minutes and Offense needs to limit their mistakes.

But I think the biggest plus is that O-Line looked great against one of the best Front-7's in the league, Okung and Stephenson looked really good at tackle and perhaps Guard was Michael Schofield's calling all along.
Word. Paradis looked great too.

This BS is indeed upsetting.

I really liked Peyton in the booth ... He was low key and really at ease and natural ..

I wasn't the biggest fan ( putting it mildly ), but I'd love to see him do what Rich Gannon and Troy Aikman have done

yeah, he's gotta do better than what he did on that final punt

I'm watching the left side of the television screen expecting to see the ball sailing over the returner's head, and then I see it bounce down at like the 40 ..

Thoughts....Well honestly so many thoughts! I'm honestly just floored we won this game. Lost the turnover battle big time, had our defense struggle for an entire half, bad penalties that really cost us on some drives, and yet somehow with everything seeming to go against us in this one we still found a way to win. I guess to me what I love more than anything else is I see that same fight from the Broncos that we saw last year. No game is over and they will keep fighting on both sides of the ball until the final whistle blows.

Honestly very proud of the game that Siemian had. It wasn't perfect by any means but did any of us expect it to be? He stayed calm even with some things going against him and being down 10 points to I would say a top-3 defense in the NFL right now. He lead 2 touchdown drives at the end of the game to get the victory. They were not lying when they said this kid is about as calm as they come. Plenty to clean up for him but he made some big time throws at some big time moments.

OL--for this unit playing together for really the first time other than a few snaps in the preseason I thought they did a wonderful job. Missed some blocks at times and some major miscommunications that allowed pressure on Siemian pretty quickly but the run blocking was impressive and most of the game the pass blocking allowed decent time for Siemian. Maybe most though with this unit is we see a physicality that was not there last year. That 4th and 1 last year I don't think Kubiak would have attempted that play with the OL we had. To have such confidence in this team to go and get that yard was gutsy but what we needed.

CJ and Jano--This will be a combination I think Bronco fans are going to love for the next 4-years. Jano beyond just his touchdown run (which was beautiful) opened some huge holes for CJ. He was not afraid to take on some tough linebackers that most do not win against and yet he won.

One last thing. I could talk about the defense and how they stood up in that 2nd half and really made the plays when we absolutely needed them. Proud for how they responded to a bad start but I think we expected them to do pretty well in this game. What I want to talk about though is Kubiak. Some of his decisions really decided this game. Going for it on 4th and 1 against maybe the best Front-7 in football when you are on the 1-yard line with the opportunity to tie it with a field goal was one of the gutsiest calls I have seen in a long time. Fox would never have made that call. The timeout to ice the kicker. Now yes most coaches do that anyway but still obviously it was a decision that helped seal the victory. I thought he also called an incredible game for the offense. It wasn't always pretty but that was maybe the best we have seen our offense other than the Green Bay game last year since 2014. The run game looks lethal. Teams now have to worry on those 3rd and short plays that we will hand it off to our FB or could run a bootleg play with a QB that can run or hand it off to CJ. So many options on those plays that teams have to game plan for.

Also for those against what Marshall did I would recommend you listen to his explanation of why he did it. He means no dissrespect to the country, our flag, the military, even the police. He did it because he is against social injustice. Don't think any of us in here are for social injustice. Maybe taking a knee during the National Anthem is not the best way to get that across but I do know that these players have talked to military folk to see what they can do to get their message across yet still show respect and the military people they talked to said to just take a knee instead of sitting on the bench. He is also donating money to Vets so again I wouldn't completely destroy him for making that decision.

Great stat of the day just maybe showing the growth of Paradis as our Center.

When running to the left of Paradis (actual inside run) the Broncos averaged 4.8 yards per carry. When they ran to the right inside of Paradis they averaged 7.2 yards per carry. For a team like Carolina so powerful up the middle great to see our team get just as physical with them and actually win quite a few of the battles. Kuechly still looked beastly but beyond him I thought our guys won most of the battles.

I don't care his reasons. That flag and anthem represent founders of this amazing nation and every soldier that died defending it.

I was very disappointed. The cause is one thing, the use of disrespecting the anthem/flag is (IMO) very misguided and disgraceful.

Jano was a stud
Booker was a dud and responsible for two turnovers.
Our punter was also not very good
You can see the all pro Andy lee flip the field
I thought Trevor gained a lot of experience in this game
Lucky to get the win with too many mistakes but plenty to work on

Then what do you say to the military men and women who've actually agreed with and defended Kaep on his stance? Obviously if some of the people you're "disrespecting" agree with your POV doesn't it kind of validate it in some regard?

I may not agree with the way these people are choosing to express their right to protest but I'm also not going to condemn him and consider this these people hating America and telling them they should leave like some people are either.

I have the POV that you can love something and yet speak out when you think some things are unjust and not be called a traitor or a dirty muslim or some other form of hate speech that I've seen people use.

While I think Kaep and other people could've done a better job of protesting it doesn't mean they are wrong or what they have problem with doesn't exist.

I am only speaking for myself. Everyone has to take their own stand (they care or not). The flag/anthem is symbolic of course, but it means a lot to me personally. I know it means the world to many. Like I said earlier, I understand the cause, but I disagree with the method.

Agree with this. Like I said I know that some of the players have gone to military personnel and asked them what they can do to show respect to them and our country yet still be able to speak up against the injustices that happen in our country. I love being an American but I think all of us can admit that our country is not perfect and there are plenty of things that we need to all continue to fight for.

I will say this. The method is effective. Millions of people are aware now (again).

Let's see what comes of it.
