Unfortunately, I am a little lukewarm on my new choice of teams at this point. Not even a single new post on there message board today, and as bad as Howie is, at least he is doing something. Spending $178M guaranteed on mediocre talent in the last couple of weeks is at least something worth talking about. 49er? nada.

Is there some sort of unwritten rule that your not allowed to follow more than one team?

Ok let me clear something up for you, you are not a niner fan and as such we don't want you on our board just like that oregon duck douche nozzle that popped up on our board when the news that chip kelly was the new coach broke. Secondly, there is an unwritten rule about jumping ship to another team while your team is struggling, sure you can do that it just shows a lack of character. The fact that needs to be told you makes me believe you chose your favorite team based on the color of the uniform. Also, everyone on the niner board is waiting for this situation with Kap to play out, nothing else really needs to be discussed until then because it affects everything going forward. So how about you just admit you were being a whiny bitch and that you are sorry.

I actually agree with the Bradford signing. I think he still has potential and will be rooting for him. Its tough though as they are now teaching him a brand new offense for the umpteenth year is a row. And its really a pretty stale system with a couple of guys that are hardly innovators running the show.

I would have been more optimistic if they were keeping Bradford to have them keep Kelly as well. It means alot to a QB to have reps in the same system for a second year in a row, and while there is disagreement on Kelly's system, the fact is that every QB who has executed in it has put up career best numbers in his system. Its a QB friendly system for sure.

I did expect they would go with a rookie first rounder paired with Daniel, but I guess they must have wargamed it and came to the conclusion they didn't like what they would find there at number 8. Otherwise there would be no reason to sign both Daniel and Bradford. You don't give two QBs a total of $34M guaranteed and then draft a rookie.

I really just don't know what other choice they had. In practicality it looks like Wentz and Goff will be gone, and I guess they don't like Lynch. Either way, 2016 looked like a total lost season and this and the other signings they have give them a chance. That said, they seem to be essentially mortgaging the future to sign a bunch of mediocre talent. It gives them a chance to compete in 2016, but its a hard case to make they will be anything above mediocre. Its a tough case to be forward spending on your cap when its not likely to even get you into the playoffs much less past the first round.

That said, I an really not fond of the 76ers model where you suck for a several years while you hopefully assemble some talent. Good for them for building it up. The talent situation is probably about as good as they could do under the circumstances.

I am more skeptical of the coaching staff than anything else. The best signing was Schwartz to run the defense. On the offensive side of the ball, I think Pederson and Reich are both lightweights. Neither one has done much to speak of. I could have gotten on board with the plan if they signed Gase or MacAdoo, but they got outplayed for both those guys.

If your going to fire your Head Coach, you need to be thinking several steps ahead and I think they were just winging it. Given what they ended up with, I think they would have been better off holding steady with Kelly and Bradford for a year and see how it works out with Bradford in the same system for another year.
