Why not PM your board mod and try and work the issue out if it's fixable. Perhaps the ban is only temporary on that board.

Many a situation has been fixed by a "cooling off period"

Well, I am not totally clear on who the mod is, or how to PM him or her? I have never PM'd anyone.

It would seem appropriate to contact me if you feel a need to ban? I just found out by finding that this little box on the bottom was no longer available on the Eagles board while it is everywhere else. Bad form IMO.

I'm not really interested enough to discover exactly why you were banned, I can only cite the examples available to me before I started tuning you out. I recall the moment you declared your intentions to stop being an Eagles fan after 27 years to become a niners fan.

Made up some story about your "wife" buying you niner socks or some such shit and then you tried to go to the niners board to air your grievances only to be ignored. Well, you are entitled to your opinion for sure. Just recognize that when you go to that board, you aren't getting a true reflection of what is going on. If you don't drink the koolaid (and you better like it dammit!), you will be chased away or banned. That board is only for people that buy into whatever the Eagles brass is selling that week.

I bought into the Eagles brass crap for years. This time around I didn't. I gotta say that I am shocked on how many of you are now worshiping every move Howie makes...to the point of chasing away someone who has the balls to call em as he sees em.

Deerpathdave whining on the general board will get you nowhere or make you any friends.
Follow Cali's advice and talk to Wings about why you were banned etc and if you can fix it. Constructive criticism of a team is one thing just beating a dead horse about how stupid management is wont get you anywhere fast and by your admission got you banned from the board.

I would only ask why you would give up on your team because they fired a coach. Hell our owner fired a legend in Tom Landry and some of us still wont forgive Jerry for that. But all in all we did not give up and change teams.

Most mods will give you enough rope to hang yourself before banning you unless your just being a jerk.

So here is my part of the conversation I had with Wings...

....So looking at my profile it seems that I get nearly twice as many positive ratings as I get negative ratings.

As far as how often I engage. I think I chime in on less than 15% of the threads. Usually its when I see someone write something that just seems patently false, and I hunt up information that proves it.

I agree some people are tired of it. There are a couple of guys out there that are idiots and attack me personally. I have never tried to get anyone banned and have declined to attack them personally.

I think you are looking in the wrong direction on who to ban. Guys like me are good for the conversation....

Wings was very professional about it in his response. Personally though, I think its bad for a forum to have this sort of mentality where they would kick you off like this. Go ahead and look at my profile and read my posts. I have haven't said or done a single thing I am ashamed of. I can't say the same about some of the other responses I have seen.

So I have been banned I guess on the Eagles Board. I no longer have post rights there.

Just so you know, I have posted on here, or before on kffl for over a decade. I have been an Eagles fan for double that amount of time. You can read my posts. I enjoy a good give and take from people with different opinions, but I am always respectful and do my best to stick on topic.

Things changed for me with the Kelly firing and the Pederson hiring. I think its complete idiocy on the Eagles part. Kelly had a winning record and Pederson comes along and thinks its a good idea to run the clock out in a playoff game when your down two scores. Now this week, they blow over $178M guaranteed on mediocre players.

So I say these things on the board and next thing you know I am suspended. After ten years. I guess free speech doesn't apply there. I thought Eagles fans were supposed to be tough, but I guess those fans aren't on that board. No big deal really, I can simply create a new ID or 2 or 3. Better yet, I can find better things to do with my time.

Clearly not. The question is what constitutes reasonable reasons for a ban?

I would argue that it would be reasonable to ban someone for profanity, personal attacks, perhaps just being overly domineering (posting on every topic adnauseum). I would be fine banning someone for being unintelligible, dishonest or lying.

None of that applies here.
