....alright.....I'm glad that it was a joke and you are actually not brain dead....
I think the Big 10 is gambling that adding Rutgers and Maryland will make more people in those two areas care about those teams
it might work
Do people in NYC watch college football?
Last time I checked, Maryland and New Jersey have a lot of football talent. I can think of a certain running back that you might have heard of from New Jersey. It's not a good enough reason to bring them into the conference, but there's worse things than allowing NJ and MD recruits a chance to see us every year.
That's actually a good question. I lived there in the 1950's. Ivy League FB, Notre Dame, Army and Navy were popular. Today, with all the pro teams in the NY area, I wonder. Even high school sports has a hard time just making the papers in NYC.
I have to admit, if our schedule is going to be....
Rutgers, Maryland, Penn State, Ohio State, Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, Minnesota
I definitely want 10 conference games. Rotate 2 additional teams from the other side of the conference every two years, and this conference might still feel like home. Go 16 and take Iowa away from us permanently and I will straight up have a heart attack.
I don't like that we're never gonna play Iowa, Nebraska or the Michigan schools.
You know what I mean.Because Ohio St will always win your division?
