some friend of the University dropped by the office with two little tigers being fostered. The players and coaches in the office got a kick out of taking pictures and playing with them

After leaving Terps, RB Albert Reid transfers to UVa. | CollegeFootballTalk

It appears Albert Reid‘s college football journey will take him from one former ACC program to a current one.

Speaking to 247Sports.com, Reid confirmed to the recruiting website that he has decided to continue collegiate playing career at Virginia. Reid’s transfer from Maryland was confirmed in mid-April, becoming the first of two running backs to leave the Terps in the last month and a half.

Reid will be a graduate transfer who will have two seasons of eligibility remaining beginning in 2015. He had been granted a medical hardship waiver shortly before his decision to transfer was announced.

NCAA approves hardship waiver for Houston WR Allen | CollegeFootballTalk
Former Oregon wide receiver Chance Allen will not have to sit and wait a season before playing football with his new teammates in Houston. The NCAA has ruled he will be eligible to play right away this fall after approving a hardship waiver.

The university announced the news Wednesday evening with a press release on the school’s athletics website. Allen is a native of Missouri City, Texas and opted to move closer to home to help take care of his mother.

NCAA accuses UNC of lack of institutional control | CollegeFootballTalk
The four words no school ever wants to hear from the NCAA office have been aimed squarely upon Chapel Hill. In a 59-page notice of allegations from the NCAA, the University of North Carolina has been accused of operating with a lack of institutional control. The phrase appears three times in the letter from the NCAA.

One of the keys to the UNC investigation’s findings determined student-athletes received preferential access to the controversial Afro-American Studies courses. Per the NCAA, student-athletes were enrolled in the courses “at a disproportionate rate to that of the general student body and received other impermissible benefits not available to the general student body in connection to these courses.”
