Florida LB Matt Rolin retires from football
After an injury plagued career, Matt Rolin has called it quits.

The linebacker arrived in Gainesville after recovering from a torn ACL, then suffered another ACL tear shortly into his first fall camp. After missing the 2013 and ’14 seasons, Rolin battled a herniated disk to appear in just three games as a redshirt sophomore last fall. He garnered starts against Florida Atlantic and opposite Michigan in the Citrus Bowl, and totaled a career-best eight stops in the SEC title game against Alabama.

Still, that injury toll zapped Rolin of his desire to play the game.

Damn! Just read that we lost one of our starting DE's. Apparently he broke his foot at practice yesterday. He's going to be out until the end of Sept. Dabo's hoping he'll be back by the GT game Sept. 22.

Well at least you got a few free weeks of healing time.

true. It was a fracture of the 5th metatarsal. Said they put a screw in it.

I totally know what that means!

Recovery is quick these days.

Mizzou’s leading TD catcher in 2015 out 6-8 weeks with dreaded high-ankle sprain
First-year Mizzou head coach Barry Odom announced Wednesday that Brown sustained such an injury to his ankle. As a result, the prognosis for the wide receiver’s return is officially at 6-8 weeks.

The vagaries of the recovery time for such an injury make it a possibility that Brown could be back in a couple of weeks or even a month, or he could be sidelined for the entire season.

Should Brown be out for six weeks, he’d likely miss the first four games of he season against West Virginia, Eastern Michigan, Georgia and Delaware State. The long end of the initial prognosis would have Brown missing those four games plus one against LSU, returning against Florida Oct. 15 coming off a bye weekend.
