Everybody likes to take a shot at America and Americans, but as soon as a disaster happens, who's the first Country that is there? There are millions of Americans who devote their time, money, and efforts helping out people less fortuante than them all over the World. Perhaps they should just focus their efforts on all the suffering people in the US instead?

At this point in Haiti, the US has donated over $100 million in aid, while the next Country has donated just over $18 million.

Without getting into the entire debate, the statistic that is frequently quoted is donations per capita or as a % of GDP so that it becomes relevat to the size of the country. When you get into that, the US falls behind a bit.

I've said it before and I'll say it again..........people take such pride in the party they are affiliated with. It's just like when a person gets in an argument about their favorite sports team.............they'll blindly back their team whether they are wrong or not. People do it for their party all the time.............no matter who the president ever is, there will be a large chunk of people who will say he/she is great, and a large chunk who will say he/she is shit.

I am a registered Republican.........that doesn't mean a damn thing to me though.
