The longer the better. We need to get some key guys back. Like Duane Brown and Iupati for instance. And it looks like Ziggy "I'm always hurt" Ansah will need to heal up before Sunday as well. Hopefully all those guys can go to work Sunday night.

Anyone interested in the Green Bay weather for next weekend? The 7 day forecast says to expect -3C (27 F for my American friends) and a 40% chance of precipitation (aka: snow). So that's chilly, but not crazy-I'm freezing my ass off and can't play-kind of chilly. Still, that has to be a small advantage to the Packers right? They play in those conditions more than Seattle does and Rodgers is well known for not letting the cold bother him.

I'm a bit mixed on the location, even given that the only other place was Santa Clara to face the 1 seed. I believe we only have 1 win @ Lambeau in the history of our franchise (that Monday nighter back in '99 I think). The home team is undefeated in the RW vs Rodgers series, including playoffs. And although I think SF is a much better team than the Packers, I think we matchup ok with the 49ers.

GB seems to be a lot like us this year. They have a total stud QB who pulls games out late, and they have maybe not played the best football even when getting their wins. Flawed teams that rely on elite QBs to make the big play when needed to win.

The early line is GB -4, which is the tightest spread of the weekend. It should be a doozy.

Heard an interesting analogy on this game from Danny O'neill this morning. Is this the level of the video game that we just can't beat? Hard not to look at it that way when you consider we have not won on the road in the divisional round since 1983, and of course we are winless @ GB in the RW era. But with both Brady and Brees losing last week, it seems like maybe there's a changing of the guard going on at QB. Russell beating Rodgers would fit with that. I give slight edge to GB, but I think we have better than a puncher's chance.

Yeah, a Philly fan friend of mine told me last week ahead of that game that "all streaks come to an end" so hopefully he is right - just a week late.
