I think it may make more sense than you realize. Teams have guys up in the booth who play back video footage quickly and help them decide to challenge plays. This is hardly new nowadays.

Another out of the box thing that Chip is doing that soon will be duplicated throughout the league. Replays are becoming such a huge part of the game why not have somebody be an expert at it on your staff

I agree with this. I do believe other teams will jump on the bandwagon here. The more I think about it the more I think it's brilliant. My first thought when I read this was " how ridiculous." not so much anymore. The game has changed so much and it's played much quicker between plays.
