I'm going to have to say it - The season the Nuggets will probably the 2nd best team in the end. That's not to say they will start next season as the 2nd best team, but they are not that far from a championship series.

Millsap has been one of my favorite players, but he will certainly have to take a paycut, because he is at the stage in his career where less minutes will make him more effective.

I also like Mike Plumlee's game, but if the Nuggets need to match up with AD and Lebron and the reserve Lakers - Plumlee doesn't get them there.

Mason Plumlee. Please God, don’t let the FO re-sign him and Torrey Craig! I’m a big fan of Malone as a HC, and think he creates a winning culture. But his choice of lineups flat out befuddles me at times. Especially playing Craig as many minutes as he does.

@Draft Crazy it looks like your Blazers got better and the Nuggets got a little worse (for a while).

MPJ - will have to play a lot more and learn to play D, but the Nuggets don't seem to have a top guy to defend against a good Wing player in a playoff series at the moment. I like Green - he will add some to the rebounding and interior D. Nnaj seems like he is athletic enough to replace J. Grant, but at 19 he is a year two away - it would appear. Bol will also get more minutes, but offensively he plays like a 3 - yet won't be able to keep up with most 3's on D -so he will need a switch partner. I'm glad Malone is the Coach.

Except they are as lucky as Elway was with Ozweiler. I think it would have been a big mistake to pay Grant $20MM per year to be the fourth option - that’s a lot when two players already have max contracts. Granted, it’s a premium position, but I’m impressed and willing to stay patient with their develop from within philosophy which has gone well the past 5 years.

This is a perfect example of why it would make sense to have FA before the draft. If the Nugs had known he would be gone, their draft may have looked differently.

So lets pay Millsap $10M. I think that contract is worst than any contract Grant would get.
