I will end up getting one of these one day as well. May never wash another skillet while camping ever again. :suds:

Made some beef jerky today (first time trying it). Started marinating some slices of top round yesterday with some Backwoods jerky seasoning (original) from Academy Sports. I let it do it's thing for about 18 hours. Loaded up the dehydrator this morning and 6 hours later I had some slightly crunchy jerky.

I should have pulled it 4.5 hours but I had some work things to do so I was out of the house during the sweet spot. All in all, it's pretty damn good.

You guys made any jerky?

That one really isn't for camping, it's pretty heavy, they do have camp stoves though. I suppose if you're glamper you could

Agreed. I was referring to the table top version.

NOt really what IM cooking. But i bought two spices the other day im in love with.

First trader joes everything but the bagel seasoning. It has a cult following. But its really good. Can put on anything. Ive been putting on potatoes and veggies........sheer awesome

Second Trader Joes Umami seasoning. Leery at first. Tried it on veggies first and meh..........
I then tried it on chicken, and wow its good. Ive made chicken with some olive oil and the umami seasoning 4 days straight its tasty AF

Nice.

Wife asked me today if I'd like to grill something tomorrow (we're experiencing mid-spring-like-weather in my part of the woods). I've still got some unfinished training to do on that woman...

I'm thinking extra thick ribeyes should do nicely!

I do the no bake version of cheesecake.

:behindsofa:
do tell. I do mine in a steam bath, so to speak. I put about a 1/4 inch of water in a large roasting pan then lay an icing grate in there and set my cheesecake, in the spring form, on the icing grate. That's why I wrap my spring form pan with foil, so the moisture doesn't affect my crust.

wow, sounds good.

I use store bought crust etc. It's very good, but it's no where near the same thing as what you make.

I don't know. I'd have to try it your way to know the difference.
