That at-bat really makes me question Rua as a true major league hitter. Axford threw him 3 consecutive flat fastballs right over the middle of the plate, and Rua couldn't time a single one of them. You throw any decent major leaguer 3 straight 94 MPH fastballs with no movement right in the center square and he's gonna crush one. Beltre would have easily. Rua was way behind on all 3 of those weak pitches. That is just really, really bad.

I like Rua a lot but if he can bring something in a trade I likely move him. It doesn't seem the coaching staff values him much. Maybe that is why?

Not glad Darvish is pitching tomorrow. I wish we saved him for the Royals. For some reason, the A's always give Yu a lot of trouble. Just hoping we can win tomorrow, win the series, and keep the ground we gained recently.

Over the last month there has been 4 games that we lost where we scored 6 runs or more. There were 4 more that we lost when we scored 5 runs.
