Okay guys, I have been out all evening and didn't get to watch or listen to the game. Give me the verdict on Perez. I noticed he gave up 3 earned runs in 6 innings, but I know sometimes he gets the blame for the unearned ones as well. Overall what did you think of his performance.

This is one of those game if we lost we would have said we should have won this game if we just play solid defense and Perez overcome any obstacles. Glad it turned out this way. Nice to gain a game but even nicer to have a swagger style win.

But how does that play out in his performance in your opinion though. I think we have had some mental midgets give us some pretty good performances down through the years and then others have failed miserably. Was his stuff and performance tonight good enough to be the 4th or 5th pitcher on a playoff team?

5th is fine but 4th has to play out between he and AJ and any other pitchers we may pick up. He did better the last couple of innings but he just needs to be solid throughout regardless of what goes on behind him. And his stats alone make me nervous with his k rate and average against him by RHers. But I would not count him out yet.
