The Minnesota Wild revealed yesterday that Captain Mikko Koivu, who had a career year, will undergo knee and shoulder surgery in his native Finland. Koivu will have arthroscopic knee surgery and surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder in the next few days. Rehabilitation is expected to last througout the summer.
In addition, newly acquired defenseman Cam Barker, has also just undergone athroscopic ankle sugery.
Perhaps with these injuries out of the way, the Wild may (hopefully) have a better season next year.
