I watched the Falcons/Panthers game tonight and late in the game, the Falcons were up 1 with about 5 minutes to go. Instead of running the ball and trying to kill clock, they called a slant, which Jones took for a 75 yard TD.

right, if the opposing team is playing the Bengals, they know 100% we're going to run the ball. A competent offense at least thinks about taking advantage of what the defense is giving you.

The point of the hard count is to try to get the opposing defense to jump and then you snap the ball.

If Cook snaps that ball on 4th and 1, the game is over.
