The Taylor Martinez bashing

I'll be honest, I am kinda tired of it.........and it doesn't seem like something that I'm used to Husker fans doing. Since the end of last season though, I have heard more and more people bashing the kid for his attitude and drama from last season.........saying they wish he'd just get the fuck outta here and all this other garbage.

That doesn't remind me of the Husker fans of old. Don't forget that the kid was a teenager last year, with a daddy at his side who probably was the cause for all that drama. Don't forget Bo Pelini is a fucking man among men, and I'll bet you over the offseason he had a nice little talk with the kid and let him know none of this drama will be occurring this upcoming season.

Aren't any of you rooting for the kid to grow up and change his attitude? Doesn't anyone like to see a kid turn into a man and lead a team to championships? I like Brion Carnes just as much as the next guy, but I don't give a shit if Bo Pelini's dog ends up QBing this team to a championship......whoever wears a Husker helmet, they get my support. And Taylor Martinez took all the bashing that he got and continues to receive, and he stayed here because as he said, he wants to win championships at Nebraska. I like him.

Exactly........and I waited each week to hear Martinez speak to the media after a game and say something like "our line is just playing terrible" or something along those lines..........but he never did.

The kid never blamed anyone else.

Huskers fans tend to be horrible at this shit. You are probably too young to remember, but there were many people that wanted Osborne fired because he couldn't get over the Oklahoma hump.

Oh yea, I have seen all the old documentaries and sech on Nebraska football and remember hearing all about it from my dad and uncles. That bashing is a bit different than the bashing that Martinez is taking...........for one because Martinez is a kid and Osborne was an adult who literally was responsible for his team losing.

For me it's simple........don't bash the guys who are out there playing and going to college. A coach is responsible for getting those guys in the right mindset. Yea they get to go to school for free.......big damn deal. They don't have time to get a degree that's worth shit so they all graduate as a Communications Major. So I guess they can make $20,000 a year if they don't go pro then.....

Just don't bash the guys out there wearing the N.......that's my whole thing.
