He's very loyal. His agent needs to have a chat with him. It should only take about 10 to 15 seconds.

Hey Zach you will be the most sought after UFA on the market. July 1st can't come soon enough.

he brushed being the most sought after free agent off he is very humble as well.Like I said I wouldnt make a guarantee one way or the other only time tells.

I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Parise resigns with the Devils. Lou is already on record for wanting to get the deal done. The question is what will Lou have to move in order to get a deal done. I could easily see Zach get 7 to 8 million per from a number to teams, possibly more. We don't know how much he wants. Nor do we know whether he will give the Devils a discount. The fact he knows he can win a cup with the Devils will only help Lou's cause.

He'll definitely get a $9m+ if he hits free agency and signs with another team. He's probably more sought after than Kovalchuk and Gaborik were.

Does Kovalev have a good relationship with Therrien? You'd hate to see him take a roster spot over a young guy (say Brendan Gallagher).

The Devils could match any offer that is put on the table. They have, I believe, the 5th most cap space going into this offseason. If he leaves I'm not sure finances will be the deciding factor.

with the suggested jump in cap space this year, almost anyone could add significant salary (well, not Boston).
so we won't be seeing any significant RFA poachings this year, because no one is stuck at the cap.
if someone offers Schneider $5m, for example, Canucks can match. They won't like it, but they have room to do it.

According to capgeek, Devils have $28m in space (10 players to sign). If Parise takes up $9m of that, again, Devs won't like it, but it won't cripple the team immediately.

This is a make-or-break year for Chris Stewart coming up, he's developed some baggage over the last couple of seasons (attitude, work ethic), guy has plenty of talent.

I recall some quote that Friedman (I think) dug up on why a young 28 goal scorer as effectively dumped off of Colorado
was something to the effect of "there were other issues" or "they had off-ice reasons"

Dash is pandering for rep again. well, it worked. :)

One of the greatest displays of self-policing in the past 30 years.
