Greatest ever is kinda impossible but if the aliens landed and asked for a song to describe/explain rock n roll I might choose

So good that Lennon had to rip it off

The Stones have the best deep cuts, shit hardly anyone has heard they had buried in their vaults like this, that basically blows away 99% of rock music ever made.

On Springsteen, it would have to be Rosalita

For Bruce I'd go with Born To Run, Jungleland or Thunder Road. That's a great one though.. especially in concert.

Satisfaction, by the Rolling Stones.

They're my all-time favorite group but that one isn't even in their top 20 for me. It put them on the map as the bad boys of R&R and the lyrics were very cool for the time, but it never did much for me. Not criticizing you picking it. It's iconic and a perfectly fine selection for GOAT rock song.

Yes Satisfaction is a GOAT choice, not even my personal favorite of their repertoire. Play with Fire maybe, or Paint It, Black.

I'd lean to Whipping Post and Layla from all posted. Duane rules.

But these are 2 Canuck efforts worthy. American woman knocked the Beatles out of the 1 slot.

And of course as far as rock anthems go...

Fuck Canada.

How did you find this song? I like the guy on the Exile cover with the three golf balls or walnuts in his mouth. Class act. lol.

It was released a few years ago finally. Was part of the Exile sessions but was never finished and Mick Jagger and Mick Taylor overdubbed parts and finished it. It is on an Apple iTunes “Deep Cuts” playlist of Stones songs. Tremendous song huh?
