What exactly is so crappy about the schedule?

This schedule aint so bad other than the 3 straight away games. What else do u want? This is a great opportunity to have a great start. The first 6 games we have four at home. We played great at home last year. Plus, it's usually the 2nd game when Romo goes down so at least we can be the team that destroys their season. Im seeing a 5 and 3 record first half of the season. Another 5 and 3 record second half for a 10 and 6 overall finish. Bank it.

The Schedule is what it is. Any one that figured we would get cut a break like say playing most of our divisional games when our opponent was in the middle of a three game road trip was deluding themselves.

The team either steps up and shows improvement, or its going to be a long season. I admit this schedule has the potential to make it an ugly season real early. But seriously, if we get off to a good start, I dont think there is a team on this schedule we can beat. We likely loose to Carolina, Green Bay, Arizona. But the rest depending on what we do in the draft, and the all important health factor.... I think thats 13 games we have at least even odds on at the moment.

I think the schedule looks pretty good. AFC North and the rest of OOC should be a good test for the team. If our boys make the playoffs, they will have deserved it by beating some really good teams along the way (unlike this year).

And the Cowpies on Thanksgiving ... that should be an every year thing! I love it!

The only thing I don't like about the schedule is playing a night game Sunday 11/20, then playing 4 days later in Dallas on Thanksgiving. The NFL should have scheduled the GB game at 1:00.

I like the fact Washington plays late Sunday heading into the Thanksgiving game. I do agree it's jacked the league would schedule it like this though. The did it to Dallas last year, late Sunday in NY, I was pissed off. Hopefully the NFL figures out this is an issue, of course it may be Mara sticking it to our teams again.

i did hear from 247 sports skins will wear black on black rush uniforms dallas will wear white on white rush uniforms. on turkey day...you can not look at a schedule in april and say its going to be hard or easy to many bad things can happen to teams example big ben'could get hurt in preseason etc etc

Exactly. The schedule is predetermined based on your division & where you finish in your division. Part of the reason that the Redskins schedule is harder is because they finished 1st in their division. In that respect I hope for a harder schedule every season.

As mentioned elsewhere in this thread you can't determine the true difficulty of a schedule nor quality of teams in April. Consider last season - most thought that Dallas & Philly would be the class of the NFC-E and not many folks thought that the Panthers would represent the NFC in the SB. No doubt this season will also have a few surprises.

At least those color schemes don't sound too bad. Some of the rush uniform choices appear to be awful including the Raiders having to don orange or yellow type uniforms which is a complete joke.

Try looking at this from a different perspective. Sure the schedule is tougher, but that was already known & expect competition to get tougher as the team gets better - it is part of the territory.

However - look at the quality of the home games & their entertainment value. From that perspective this might be the best Redskins schedule in ages. They have their usual NFC-E games plus games against the Steelers (MNF), a rematch against the Packers (SNF), NFC champ Panthers (MNF), playoff team Vikings & one of the most anticipated games with the return of RG3 to Fed Ex. It doesn't get much more entertaining than that (at least it appears that way now).
