The Salary Floor and the next CBA

It is really refreshing that there is greater movement this off season because so many teams have to reach just to get to the BOTTOM of the salary cap/range. Teams like Florida are going to get better simply because of the talent/contracts they can take on.

That said, how good is this really going to be for the league. Sure, the Flyers are pretty safe. They never sink that low on the cap. They have revenue from all manner of things. Financially, they are safe. But from what I read as many as half the teams in the league are not happy with this years cap/base.

Part of me is worried about the next CBA and what it is going to do/how things are going to change. If there is going to be a 30 team league then there are always going to be "poor sisters". But that does not mean you make it impossible for teams to function by making the salary minimum so high.

For Flyers fans this team is perfectly fine, except for the salary cap, that has cost the Flyers Umberger/Gagne/Knuble....If teams can't reach the floor then Fuck'em, move them up to Canada, they would be supported where ever the Fuck they went. If New York can have 3 bloody teams, 2 in which have shit fan support (Jersey/Islanders now), then Toronto can easily have 2 teams, and why hockey is in Fucking Florida and Arizona boggles my mind. Expand the tv deals in Canada where the all the real revenue comes from in that respect and Bam, hockey will flourish even more. Saskatchewan can easily have a team to, if they can get 50,000 strong for the shit C.F.L, then what do we thing they would do for N.H.L hockey there, also Quebec City should have a team to.
