It is really refreshing that there is greater movement this off season because so many teams have to reach just to get to the BOTTOM of the salary cap/range. Teams like Florida are going to get better simply because of the talent/contracts they can take on.
That said, how good is this really going to be for the league. Sure, the Flyers are pretty safe. They never sink that low on the cap. They have revenue from all manner of things. Financially, they are safe. But from what I read as many as half the teams in the league are not happy with this years cap/base.
Part of me is worried about the next CBA and what it is going to do/how things are going to change. If there is going to be a 30 team league then there are always going to be "poor sisters". But that does not mean you make it impossible for teams to function by making the salary minimum so high.
