tough to hold any Saints WRs in redraft at this point. lots of better options to both stash and flex, give me Hollywood and Bateman if I'm going to bank on a low-volume passing attack, lol

This is almost a surprise to me.
Offensively, Peyton is a "peddle to the metal" play-caller. Winston has shown that he can chuck the ball.... i just dont get the low offensive numbers.

I had Callaway in a couple half ppr redraft leagues, dropped him for Pittman in one of them and moved Fuller off IR so just cut him the other one

I feel like his window to perform was reliant on being the only game in town until Mike Thomas comes back, and he's failed miserably in his first 2 outings, just glad I pulled him out of my flex spot in week 1 and left him benched in week 2

also, let's not act like the Payton/Brees connection was in its glory days the last couple seasons. It's early, but it seems like Payton is still using the 40yr old QB playbook and Winston is like 27yrs old. Saints were very much a run-oriented attack with Kamara and Ingram and pulled out a lot of stops for Brees' last couple seasons, and now they are mired in the outcome of those short-sighted decisions.

it was the right play - you strike while the irons hot and all, but they made a ton of sacrifices on both sides of the roster to field a win-now team the last couple seasons, and those decisions always have long-term impacts, which we might just be seeing now with no more Brees, salary cap one of the worst in the league, and a roster that isn't deep at any position

I can see a dip without Brees, but these are typically single game stats for Peyton/Saints. Its crazy.

Even the 41 year old Brees was throwing 32 times a game on average.
Winston is sitting on less than 22.

My opinion is that's its mostly keeping the reigns tight inWinston and minimizing his love of turnovers, but at least somewhat due to the fact that the options to throw to are sub par.
No matter how you look at it, even in a bad loss, they aren't throwing the ball much, period.

Callaway looked dang good in spurts last year, but apparently hasn't taken the next step. Even with the significantly lowered attempts, the guy who supposedly your WR1, should have more than 2 and 4 targets
