but it's all due to the fucked up seeding for the playoffs.
How so? They could hardly seed a 13-0 conference champ Oregon below 10-2 non-champ Ohio State, especially when one of the undefeated team's victories was over the 10-2 team. Or did you have something else in mind?

While losing to Michigan may have hurt in the short run, it certainly seems to have motivated the Buckeyes for the playoffs!

Can I be the first to say Oregon didn’t deserve to be in the playoffs like everyone had complained about to every team that has lost lol
Love it.

Was a really good article about this in the USA Today (think was before even all the round 1 games over.

Premise was only CFB fans complain about the playoff format because of games that are not close....even though the format was followed. We see round 1 blowouts/sweeps in the NBA and NFL all the time. Hardly anyone says add or take teams away, change format, etc. How it's gonna be with more teams. Guess could go back to BCS (and even those had blowouts).

Fun Stat of the game..........

Oregon allowed only 12 sacks in 13 prior games............

OSU sacked Dillon 8 times yesterday.
Thought I saw a meme/stat that no offense playing against us was called for a hold all year. at time thought no way....but after seeing last night's game maybe? Were at least a few blatant holds not called. Oh well...didn;t matter.

I saw at least 2 blatant holds in the 2nd half on the ducks that were not called.

Exactly. Every damn time a team loses I see a Facebook article about “we should have been in over so and so”. It’s so damn stupid. People think all games in sports should end up nail biters

and, sure, maybe another team would have made a better showing but not how it works.

Great example is 2015 Ohio State. Lost a flukey game to MSU. Doubt anyone believed OSU was not better than them nor would fare better in the CFP. But MSU earned the spot (as did the other 3).

SEC sure has performed well lol. All the teams who were “supposed” to get in have shit the bed so far. Texas should have been done too but “no targeting”

Are all the Buckeye boosters still talking about firing Ryan Day because OSU lost to Michigan?
cute.

but it is a valid question when you have this roster, and blowout 2 top tier teams in the playoffs, only saw glimpse's of this team during the season, why didn't you have this team gelled and ready to go for the last game of the regular season when you were at home, and had great weather...............

I mean, never was all....but get as a reasonable fan I was in the minority.

But, yes, this was a situation I had never seen before. A fan base who wanted their team to lose while playing for a title.
