Besides Odor and maybe Gallo who we got a haul for who else is getting this treatment? It does not apply only to pitchers so it is becoming a norm.

Reminds me of two position players we kept hanging on too. How did that work out?I am not saying we give up on him but think for now Gray, Perez, Dunning Hearn and Otto should be the rotation for now. Like said I would like for him to hav 5he opportunity to work out of jams and develop pitches more. He can do that in AAA.
BTW Hearn is not too far behind him. At best both have lapses. Both can get swing and misses so we might regret releasing Howard too hastily. And that ain’t gonna happen regardless what us as armchair GMs think

That was enough so adding Howard extends the list.Besides Odor and maybe Gallo who we got a haul for who else is getting this treatment?
But the theory applies.I don't disagree. And I have no idea what they do when Gray comes back.
need to tap the brakes on that. Odor got ran out there every day for 2-3 SEASONS.
Spencer has pitched 10 games. Those are nowhere near comparable situations.
They dumped both so using your logic means they will eventually dump Howard. That was enough so adding Howard extends the list.
Sorry, but I have never seen anything like it.It does not apply only to pitchers so it is becoming a norm.
Obviously Howard is in a much different situation. Currently I just prefer the rotation I mentionedI don't disagree. And I have no idea what they do when Gray comes back.

The norm is trying to hide/cover up mistakes. They made efforts to justify Odor Gallo and now Howard. They dumped both so using your logic means they will eventually dump Howard.
Still confused how this is a norm

Not sending down because he is certainly not cutting it in the rotation or BP. Seems more logical to send him down to try and work out issues than to bounce him around trying to fix him in the rotation.I guess that's not what I'm seeing.. what are they doing to "justify" Howard?
Sorry, but I have never seen anything like it.
I guess where I am at is this year is still a rebuild and Kole surely is not considered part of the future.what they need to do is justify why Kole friggin' Calhoun is the LO hitter.
Odor got too many chances, but wasn't coddled. Gallo at least gave us gold glove caliber defense and some spurts of very good production.Besides Odor and maybe Gallo who we got a haul for who else is getting this treatment?

Not saying we have an OF at this point who is 100 percent ready but yeah absolutely rather gave a guy even the other Calhoun up there At least 5hey got Adolis at 4
No doubt Hearn has issues and he too may need more time in AAA.I see that side of it, but I also see giving Howard a shot to work out those issues at this level. If this was a different year then I'd be more inclined to pull the AAA trigger quicker. And by shot I don't mean the whole season. If his next 2-3 appearances are more of the same, then pull that trigger. It would be mid-May at that point, with Howard here less than a year.
FWIW, Howard has a better WHIP and AVG against than Hearn at the moment. Not defending Howard there, just pointing out that Hearn has some issues too, and long term those might be bigger.
