thanks man. not sure if it's due to years of being so bad or if it's logical thinking... but I'm not 100% sold on this being totally legit. Beating Oregon seemed better last week, now there's doubt to the quality of the win after seeing Wazzu run all over them. They've crushed all the weaker teams on their schedule like good teams should do. Hanging with Michigan for a half sort of feels legit since we can point to QB injury as the point it went to shit.

I think if they beat USC on Saturday then I'll be sold. the team doesn't need motivation, but I'm hoping there's a little extra from being underdogs still despite those little ranking numbers next to the team names.

Damn man, from where that team has been to where it is now is amazing no matter what they do against USC. Ranked and not a doormat anymore are way better than recent years.

The south is pretty wide open though. No team is without flaws. None look ready to dominate. Why not Colorado? I'm not sold on Utah and said that all off season. No idea why all the love for them. We know their QB well as he was our cast off and he's not going to get it done. USC has all kinds of issues and will beat a few more teams, but likely to drop more as well. Both teams in the state of Arizona have issues. UCLA is probably the odds on favorite if not Colorado, but they aren't destroying good teams either. That division is going to destroy each other.

You kind of proved my point. We are a better program than Indiana but people are piling on Oregon as though you guys lost to a team who hasn't been relevant since Randle El was there.

I don't understand what you're saying. You saying Leach doesn't care about beating a FCS school and Boise?

Either that or our AD tells him to put on his big boy pants come conference time. The Auburn game is the only game OOC he treated as a real game. When a team is going to just give you an extra 200 yards freely, take it. Which he has done in conference play but decided not to even attempt it against Eastern or Boise State.

Huskies at the Big Table in January with Clemson, Bama, & Ohio State. I think the Buckeyes and their glitter helmets take it. Oregon will play with tons of emotion for the first part of the game Saturday, but then coaching will kick in and the Huskies end the streak by at least 3 touchdowns on their way to an undefeated PAC Championship season. Every keystroke was painful.

I'm worried about the overall tPAC conf SOS keeping us out of the playoffs. There is so much more ball left to play and 7 more PAC games still left.

Guaranteed if UW wins this year it will be something about how many in a row they have beaten us at our house and how they own us there.

Jesus dude, you just gave me a boner that nearly put a hole in my desk at work.

Seriously, I wish I could have those thoughts at this point. I just want to start one step at a time and survive this week against a desperate team that is going to give everything they have to keeping that streak alive and salvaging their season with it. No one wants to back an animal in the corner, even if that animal doesn't have many teeth.

Didn't I tell Oly that Hoke as DC wasn't a good idea. The guys never been a D coordinator. Oly said theres no way they could be worse than last year defensively. They should have at least played their young QB so they don't have to start a new player at that position again next year.

All the shitty defense wouldn't matter if they would just have a D1 QB. They lucked out with getting Adams who is a 9 win ceiling QB at the FBS level but Prukop is a 5 win ceiling guy. All Oregon needed was a guy who could even give us the threat of throwing.

Totally agree with the QB development statement - but pretty sure if Adams stays healthy in all games last year they win more than 9.

I don't disagree. I think your offense this year seems like your offense last year when Adam's was out. Prukop seems like a miss at this point, probably would have been better off going with the freshman you guys are stoked on.

Then it's time to let Herbert go through his growing pains and be done with it.

We had to run out a true frosh last year and look what he's doing now. If Herbert is half as good as they hope he is then ffs stop wasting your time with a kid that's not going to be there next year anyway and get the new one out there and see what he's made of now.

If that game looks bad early he might/should put Herbert in against us. Didn't he get a few plays against WSU? He's supposed to be more mobile and more of a threat with his legs. Let him go see what college football looks like at full speed and get his lumps in now so he's more ready to hit 12 games next season.

It's not a knock on Adams, he just isn't going to be a dependable guy for an entire season with his size and play. Maybe he is more durable than I think but Prukop is just a dude. He was a good Big Sky QB but nothing more, he looked like dog shittin against my other team Montana. I could see Adams coming to Oregon but Prukop wasn't better than Locke (I believe that's who played against us last year)
