Washington State linebacker Logan Tago was arrested on Monday for felony robbery and second degree felony assault that occurred on June 4, the Seattle Times has confirmed Tuesday morning.

Pullman Radio first reported the news late Monday night. Tago was allegedly one of a group of men who mugged another man around California Street in Pullman on June 4 when they demanded that he give them the pack of beer he was carrying. The victim refused and his assailants allegedly assaulted him and stole the beer. The victim suffered a concussion in the attack. However, per Pullman Radio, the victim was able to identify Tago.

At least the 3rd major case of rage with WSU football players implicated since like June? Damn. Might want to put the fireball down and switch to light beer or something.

This one pisses me off because PPD embarrassed because nothing has come from the brawl that they just pulled a retaliatory arrest cause Logan won't give anyone on the brawl. There is zero way if the incident happened the way it did that it takes 3 months for the investigation.

Either way, this is on Leach and he needs to be held accountable. Not just because I dislike him but he has let a horrible culture into the program and this arrest has essentially started a PPD vs athletic department and that's not a fight the university can either win, should try to win nor can they really survive the stigma of the cops are out to get athletes.

Well that was the joke some people were making in bad taste but still funny. Saying all Leach has to do for his motivational pregame speech is say the other team has beer and pizza and they'd actually hit someone.

Haven't heard anything about the Brawl but Logan was at the brawl and was allegedly cleared from that fight which has is where the whole conspiracy thing is coming from. Either way, the PPV needs shaken up as this has become personal it appears and WSU needs to clean house with Leach for even allowing these type of athletes on campus without some sort of mentorship with upperclassmen. With all the BS going on in society right now having an agenda driven police force versus a predominately black athletic department is the last thing a damn near bankrupt athletic department needs.

It sucks since I'm embarrassed as hell for the school but the way the police has gotten a boner over his press conferences makes it super hard to believe he is not doing shit for personal reasons. No answers from me but something drastic needs to be done, kids like these shouldn't be on college campus but we also can't have people in authority who hold grudges or ego's enough to essentially start a war with athletes.

Um, not to poop on your parade wazzy, but this isn't a police issue going on at that school. Three different incidents since spring where one or more football players not just hits a dude, but beats the holy fuck out of them. Fights happen and football players getting into scraps happen. Hell, we kicked Stringfellow off the team a few years ago for smacking around seahawks fans after their SB win. That shit goes on everywhere.

It's not normal to have them causing dudes to have facial reconstruction surgery or otherwise going to the hospital.

You don't have a police issue, you have a holy-fuck-you-idiots-stop-beating-the-shit-out-of-other-students issue. I mean at least beat up kids going to other schools or something.

It is a police issue, since they went all Al Sharpton with the media without a completed investigation with the brawl and is looking like a jackass right now because nothing has come of it.

Fights do happen, in no way am I condoning any of this as I don't think any of these guys should be on campus but this has boiled down to the police being embarrassed, Logan not cooperating with the investigation over the brawl and now charges are made. His incident is pretty open and shut of guilt if what is being said now is true and nearly every person would've been in jail immediately. The staff was made aware of the incident when it happened and cannot believe they made it sound as bad as it was otherwise I can't imagine he would've been allowed to play. If so, then Leach needs to be gone immediately and most likely Moos needs to step down.

It's a mess over there because the players are wrong, college athletics has put athletes on campus when they do not belong there or are not ready mentally to be on campus. But has also shown the dark side of the PPD which is just as much of an embarrassment with what is going on with the political climate right now.

Selfishly this an embarrassment as the wounds of the fiasco of the Wulff to Leach regime change had finally closed to where it wasn't alumnus against alumnus and now it's right back to it with sides being taken.

Leach is defending his players under the guise that it was only football players charged and no one else. Well no shit! It was the damned football players that broke the dudes face open to the point he needed surgery! There was no need to arrest the others that threw punches at others throwing punches. They have the damned video and know who did that. As for the other two incidents Leach says did they fight themselves because the football was the only one arrested. On what planet do you arrest victims?

Look, this is pretty damned simple. Just stop bashing people's faces in and there isn't a problem. I really don't give a shit who started it or what lead up to it. AT ALL No matter what lead to that moment, you don't beat people so badly they need medical treatment. And when you do you deserve to be arrested and thrown out of school. PERIOD

Utah's Fitts out for season, Williams opts to retire
Utah loses Kyle Fitts (DE) for season with a foot injury and Joe Williams (RB) retires.
They get Cory Butler-Byrd (WR) back after a suspension.

Fitts played in every game last year as a Jr and was a significant contributor to their defense. They are looking into applying for a medical redshirt exemption to bring him back next year.

Leach is making a decent point. You're right that you don't arrest victims but it is obvious the commander has some hidden agenda somewhere. Before an investigation, let alone started as done the commander went to the press and his stories he was portraying were completely debunked about the party except the victim had to go the hospital.

The shit needs to stop with the players no doubt but the commander needs to either step down or leave the investigation to a third party. The violence with the players is totally uncalled for and they should be held accountable but this crap that he is spewing is absolutely disgusting. The players are being a disgrace to the school but the commander is being a disgrace to all the good men and women in the police force that are currently fighting against this stereotype he is doing except the shooting of these guys and that's only because he isn't on the scene.

On Mike Leach and the Wazzou off the field issues.

Maybe Leach is right and football players are being unfairly targeted. It does seem that he may have a case if there are non-football players involved but only football players are arrested.

Having said that, there is a very simple solution to the problem. The football players need to stop doing shit where they can be arrested. When you accept a scholarship, you are agreeing to be a representative of the university that you are accepting the scholarship from, whether you want to be or not. You are held to a higher standard because you are a higher profile individual. Fair or not, it's how it is.

If a chemistry professor gets arrested for a DUI, virtually no one hears about it. If a football coach gets a DUI...everyone hears about it. If a regular student beats someone senseless at a party, virtually no one hears about it. If a football player does...again, everyone hears about it.

So, stop doing those things and the problem goes away. If it doesn't, and innocent players start getting arrested because they were in the area when something happened but didn't participate...then you have a case to go after the police department.
