It's better for them to have Stanford and Oregon early. As CCF points out, both are breaking in new qb's. If they don't have the offense mastered by the time they play UW, that defense could give them real problems.

First three games of this season USC gets Alabama and Stanford and neither at home. Both getting new QBs. Somehow I still don't feel so lucky.lol.

When Uncle Phil wants to test equipment he gives money to Oregon. When he wants to create game changers he gives $400 million to Stanford.

"Ambitious in scope and scale, Knight-Hennessy Scholars will annually admit 100 high-achieving students with demonstrated leadership and civic commitment, who are nominated by their undergraduate universities. The goal is to select students from a wide range of backgrounds and nationalities. Upon admittance to Stanford's graduate programs, scholars will receive funding for three years to pursue master's or doctorate level degrees, or professional programs along with education in leadership, innovation and other curricula designed to develop scholars' capacity to lead ambitious change in a complex world.

[...]

With a $750 million endowment, the Knight-Hennessy Scholars will be the largest fully endowed scholarship program in the world. More than 80 percent of the endowment will directly support the scholars, fully funding their graduate education and living expenses. The program represents the largest single increase in student financial aid in Stanford's history. The scale of funding for the Knight-Hennessy Scholars will ensure continuity for generations to come."

4-star ATH Greg Johnson (LA, CA) has committed to Arizona. Good early get for RichRods updated coaching staff as both UCLA and USC were interested.

Stanford added a second TE commit this week as well. So they have a top receiving TE committed in the 2017 class and the new commit is a 3* blocking TE. The fun part to me, is he is the son of former Stanford DT Jason Fisk. Jason was my tutor for honors Calculus freshman year. Fuck I am old, my classmates have kids playing in college.

I read every year California produces enough players to fill 13 entire recruiting classes . They gotta go somewhere.

USC loaded up on WRs with the recent class so it won't be a priority for the 2017. It will just be up to the rest of the PAC to keep that talent on the west coast, and not lose them to schools like Mich and ND.

The Huskies will be looking for OL and WRs this class that bodes well for us this year as there is some nice looking prospects on the west coast at those spots.

A Huskies priority is to keep the wall up for Henry Bainivalu and Foster Sarell. Stanford has soo much juju right now with developing Olineman. Keeping both instate is the mission and especially keep them away from Stanford or USC.

To my knowledge Stanford has not offered Bainivalu yet. Sarrell does have an offer though.

Right now I believe Bainivalu is a likely Husky lean, but if Sarell gets the Stanford academic clearing, it's going to be tough for the Dawgs to keep him here. Even if we win 9+ games this year.

I'm expecting Huskies to take at least 3 OL for the 2017 class.

The Ducks have their QB recruit for the 2017 class. They could use players just about everywhere else though and, bringing in a couple of good WRs that Kelly can build a rapport with their first year would probably pay dividends a year or two later.

Where's he been playing? HS or a college?
