it wasnt all on lockie I dont know what was up with Brenner the back up center and his low snaps.
I also think Lubick failed in his first game play calling as the OC and not putting the ball in Freemans hands more.

Agree, but it's the same thing you guys did against us. Freeman should've had 45 carries against us and you guys win but instead you guys seem to show no confidence in Lockie yet put the game in his hands. It's just confusing

Thank goodness we have a top 10 recruiting class, with potential of being higher.
Might want to challenge your coaching staff to try teaching some of those kids that won't be starters how to do things like snap a ball or hand off to Freeman. Might end up having a better season.

The debacle in cow town can't be helping with recruiting. Especially with the potential of some of the coordinators fired in the coming weeks. Ducks better hold on to that class considering Frost is gone and some D coaches could get the ax in the coming weeks as well.

I doubt the loss itself will impact their class that much, however changes at various coaching positions certainly could. I'm sure they still end up with a top 25 class. The facilities alone attract a lot of kids. They have been high profile and played in big games over the last decade.

Don't know where the hell OD got the top 10 class number. Ducks are ranked upper teens and will probably get kicked down a few spots from other teams that get more commits in Jan leading up to LOI. They'll probably end up in the 20-25 range which is still a very solid class. But will see what happens in the coming weeks with those last couple slots and if any decommits occur if any additional coaches get canned.

You can't truly rank any class until they reach at least jr/sr status.

Rankings now are as useless as can be. They are based on rankings made not by the teams, but so-called experts outside of college ball that make up their own systems. No two services rank everyone the same. It's highly subjective. We take these more or less arbitrary rankings and then decide who has done better than everyone else when we only have partial data before classes are even finalized.

They are entirely worthless until at least LOI day and even then don't really mean that much.

Anybody see Oregon QB commit Terry Wilson in the high school All -American bowl last night? :L

What a disaster. Now I know why Nebraska cooled on him when Oregon came calling. Looks like a bust at the next level. Thanks for taking a wasted scholly of our hands, Ducks.

Rivals is 12, scout is 14, 247 is 19, espn 22 but Oregon was in top 10 on Rivlas about a week or 2 ago.

111 yards 10-19 and 33 rushing? this is what you consider a disaster and a bust?

247 writer says
Oregon commit QB Terry Wilson looked the most comfortable of all the West signal callers this week in running Steve Belles' offense and it paid off, as he earned the start in the game. Wilson didn't disappoint either, completing 10 of 19 passes for 111 yards and also rushing 8 times for 33 yards (13 lost to sack yardage) in the contest. Wilson is fit like a glove for the Oregon offense and turned some heads with his ability to throw the ball as good as he did this week. After he cleans up some footwork/mechanical things he should be a nice player in the Ducks' offense

lulz

10 of 19 is 52%.
4 yds per carry rushing.
Lost by double digits.

"After he cleans up some footwork/mechanical things".

Your article said he practiced better than the others 'on the West', not that he played a good game.

He doesn't have the mindset to be a game QB.

They're in the business of pimping them.

Hey, they also get their "Marketing" degree which does qualify them to run the shoe dept at the local Nike store.

I get where your going. Conditioning, coaching, and experience all plays into what a player becomes. Petersen is an expert in finding diamonds in the rough and building them into winners. But....he's in the PAC now and filling your classes with mainly 2 and 3 star projects won't cut it anymore.
When it comes to football, as the saying goes, you can't win a horse race with a donkey. There is a big reason schools like Ohio State, Bama, and LSU are always competing for BCS tier and playoffs level bowls and it starts with the quality of their recruit classes.

ASU will have some positions to fill as well. Coaches Chris Ball (secondary) and Chip Long (TE and Recruiting coordinator) are leaving to join Mike Norvell @ Memphis.
