Mater Dei Senior 4 star Offensive Tackle Frank Martin II (6'5" 300) will stick with his USC commit. He committed in April, but has taken official visits to other schools. He has one official visit remaining and it will be with USC later this month.

That's what most teams count on, a good team every three or four years: then rebuild while the elite reload and mourn a 10 win season.Nice.! Thats Stanford size.
As far as the recruiting conversation. I don't know when a team has won the NC without having the prior four years recruiting average in the top ten and a player average of at least 3.5 . I think oregon is the only team in the past 10 years who didnt fit there but it was because of their unique style. I just looked up Clemson. They have been in the 14 to 8 range for the past four years.
But you check the Alabamas the LSUs the Ohios States and they aren't doing it with 2-3 stars. Some schools can have a good team for a year because they have a group of Jrs and Srs playing and that have matured. But that's a small window.
I really don't want to see Wilcox go to the ducks. He's going to turn that shit around pretty fast.
Of course we know that. We know his full history quite clearly. That's why I said he's going to turn you around fast. I really can't see him ever turning that job down, nor would I expect him to take any other college DC job over it unless it was like bama or something crazy.well I mean he is a Duck so...
Interesting, he was granted his release, however he is not leaving the school at this time. He just wanted permission to explore his options with other recruiters. He could still rejoin the ducks before next fall. It appears this all happened since the loss in the bowl game.Former 4-star QB Morgan Mahalak has asked for and received his release from Oregon today.
But at times over the years the D has won games for Oregon. Look at the Alamo bowl against Texas. Oregon has had a few years where they were #1 in take aways as well. but when Pellum took over it all started sliding backwards.Oregons D coordinator has to have a whole different mindset and approach. If the oregon offense is running well the oregon defense will be on the field more than your average defense but the other team will be throwing a lot trying to keep up. So with Oregon it's not about having the best 11 starters it's about having as many decent bodies to keep plugging in when the starters get winded. I imagine the defensive approach is much different than a D cord at most schools. So it's hard to say who can do a good job there. In my opinion if the offense stumbles the defense isn;t built to play like a regular defense.
Depth is the key then more than scheme. If you know the other team is going to be passing more to keep up it actually makes it easier for the defense. Make sure you are very talented on the back end, have enough trained depth to keep up with the higher minutes, and play solid ball.Oregons D coordinator has to have a whole different mindset and approach.
