Maybe it's the youth of your program showing, but every great team has years where they aren't in contention for the title. Carroll didn't have 11+ win seasons every year and neither has Saban. It's damn hard to build an elite program and nearly impossible to stay at the top every single year.

Oregon is losing a lot of pieces this year and may have a rough ride next season, but their recruiting and facilities are top notch and it is way too early to call for a changing of the guard.
