Dan Fouts and Norm Van Brocklin are Hall of Famers.

Well so is Moon, but that too wasn't a reason to pick him. To me this is about the best QB during their college years more than overall QB across their career otherwise it would be a much tighter race between Moon and Brunell.

That's like would WSU put Leaf in given how he played in college despite being a total and complete bust in the NFL? Or would Bledsoe still be their all timer?

Fouts set 19 UO records during his time and is in the UO Hall of Fame as well as Canton.

Van Brocklin was 16-5 as a starter, was an All-American and is also in UO's Hall of Fame and Canton.

I'd say they were pretty good in college too.

Wiz-
AS I said earlier, based on college #'s Luck and in hindsight Plunkett are the runaway winners for LSJU, but I looked at supporting cast and total career in saying Elway.

Yeah, and I'd still probably have to say Moon either way as well so it doesn't matter which way people look at it.

My fav Duck QB all time is Tony Graziani still.

Best for Oregon is one Joey Harrington.

Of course going after cfb stats , wins , and accomplishments.

Mariota could take over next spot.

I love em all and wouldn't blink an eye at anyone saying Chris Miller, Bill Mustrave, Dennis Dixon, Dan Fouts, Danny O'neal, Norm Van Brocklin, or Kellen Clemons.

Huskies have to give a shout to Sonny Sixkiller just for being so damn cool though.

I mentioned him on my list Mamba. He took UW under Owens from a 1 win team to 6-4 in his sophomore season and went on to set 15 QB records. I guess you could call him the Jake Locker of the 70's for the team.

I guess I'd go Moon > Brunell > Sixkiller > Tuiasosopo and then give a shout out to Don Heinrich.

Before the injury the pundit polls and the entire media had Dixon far ahead of anyone including Tebow.

I don't recall that, not saying you're wrong or lying, I just don't remember that. If that's true, I find that extremely surprising. If you take the stats that Dennis Dixon had in 10 games and project them over the 13 games that Tim Tebow played, Tebow's numbers were still vastly superior.

Dennis Dixon projected over 13 games: 67.7% Pct 2,777 yards 26 TD 5 INT 757 Rush yards 12 rush TD
Tim Tebow's actual stats over 13 games: 66.9% Pct 3,286 yards 32 TD 6 INT 859 Rush yards 23 rush TD

Plus, Tim Tebow actually did win a national championship.

LSU won it that year over Ohio.

Dixon before injury had Oregon 2 and rolling. He was getting all the love.

If he hadn't been injured during the '91 season he just might have topped the list. Guy was unstoppable in college. That knee injury he had led the way to Hobert taking over. I still think Brunell was twice the QB of billy joe and that might have been one of the best offenses in conf history if he had been healthy that year.

Dan Fouts and Norm Van Brocklin are Hall of Famers.

This is why I said Oregon needs 2 options due to the drastic difference in the way the game has been played recently compared to the past.

The other thing to remember though was age. Tebow broke the mold by being the first underclassman to win but had Dixon been an option it might not have happened.
