UCLA Football will play BYU in a home-and-home series in 2015 and 2016, replacing Nevada in the schedule. The Bruins will host the Cougars on Sept. 19, 2015 at the Rose Bowl and will travel to Provo, Utah on Sept. 17, 2016.

BYU went 8-5 in 2013 and played in the Fight Hunger Bowl, marking the ninth-straight year the Cougars have played in a bowl game. UCLA leads the all-time series with BYU, 7-3, and is 3-1 against the Cougars both at home and on the road and 1-1 in bowl games.

UCLA's future schedules, which have been strengthening over the past eight months, include non-conference games with Texas A&M (2016/2017), Oklahoma (2018/2019), Fresno State (2018), San Diego State (2019/2020), Rutgers (2020/2021), LSU (2021/2024) and Michigan (2022/2023).

Nice to see a few of the Pac schools improving their OOC's. Really hope UW follows that trend. I think Wisky is the only major school of any relevance on their future OOC list right now. Well, besides finishing up the home/home on smurf turf in '15 anyway.

Come on woodward, quit being a chicken ass and find some big boys to play. This isn't the SEC for the love of football.

With the playoff system in place, I'm expecting more teams to begin tweaking their OOCs to boost their SOSs. Would love to see UW get cracking on that.

In a word: NO

Nothing against either program, but we don't need to water down the conference even more. Still not real happy about having 12. 14 would make it take years and years to play every other team. There are kids who could start all 4 years and still not see one of the teams from the other division. Just not acceptable to me. Leave that stupidity for the SEC where it belongs.

12 is the way the PAC should stay for now. The move from 10 to 12 is understood because we can have a Champ game. It made a huge difference in what we could get from the broadcast deals. The difference of what's happening at the PAC schools with each getting an extra 20+ mil shoved in their AD budgets per year is already in full effect. And the culture of the PAC hasn't been compromised by all this. Still feels the same, but lots more football and sports being broadcast which is beautiful.

We don't get pushed around by any other conf.

SDS and Boise St are just not ready to join a major conference and won't be for some time.

:agree: Like Wiz, I didn't like the expansion to 12, but understand the business aspect and the additional money that each program has received as a result. Expanding to 14 is unnecessary, imo, and as you point out, could compromise the culture of the PAC.

I'd rather see the NCAA expand to 13 regular season games and the Pac go to only 2 OOC games each year and dump the fluff teams from our schedules. Go back to playing every team in the conf. Out of all the options people talk about and wish for, that's the only one I'd support.

BSU has a better chance of being invited to the big12 IMO than the Pac. The B12 is back where we were before our expansion. They need 2 more to get a CCG so expansion is a much more desirable thing for them.

Now if you want to dump colorado and put BSU in their place, maybe. That won't happen though. That would be a pure football decision and we all know Colorado far surpasses BSU in academics and other sports (wrestling doesn't count ffs).

Wouldn't really call it a promotion. I'm only the mod of the tech and UW boards. I can now merge threads, add new info to the opening post of a tech thread, etc. Don't plan on wielding any sort of ax on posters. I'll pass those things along to the people who make the big bucks. Unless those silly ducks try stuff on the UW board again.

Why add either team? Idaho is a pretty small market and the Pac already owns the SD market. That means they bring in almost no new revenue and would reduce each current school's share. Both are nothing great academically.

The Pac didn't bring in Oklahoma and OK St. when they had the chance, why would they bring in Bosie State and SDSU? Both bring in far fewer $ and aren't even as good from a football standpoint (well BSU and OK St. are comparable).

Little less 7pm+ start times for PAC games starting this fall.

Pac-12 moves one of its Saturday night TV kickoff windows to 11 a.m. for 2014

The Pac-12 announced Sunday it is switching one of the league’s night-kickoff television windows to 11 a.m. for the 2014 season.

The conference’s coaches and administrators have heard many complaints about 7:30 p.m. kickoffs mandated by the Pac-12’s television contracts signed before the 2012 season. Those howls have usually been from long-time season-ticket holders and those who travel a considerable distance to attend games that often don’t end until after 11 p.m. local time.

The league is switching one of its weekly games on Pac-12 Networks from Saturday at 7:30 p.m. to 11 a.m. This change will not affect the more marquee Saturday night games that ESPN or Fox Sports 1 may still air at 7 or 7:30 Pacific time — or whenever it deems the most people will watch it nationally.

Yet this is an effort by the Pac-12 to respond to complaints about late kickoff times by doing what it can with what it controls: kickoff times on the league’s own network.

"This is a positive step for Pac-12 fans across the conference," Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott said in the league’s release issued on Sunday. "There has been an adjustment over the last two years with our new television agreement, and we believe fans – both in our stadiums and in the television audience – will benefit."

The number of 11 a.m. games will depend on when ESPN and Fox decide to air other Pac-12 games on a given Saturday.

Those networks again will generally have up to 12 days before kickoff — and at times, by exception, six days prior — to select their Pac-12 kickoff times.

I thought BSU was already a member of the "Pac" for wrestling anyway.

:agree: Dilute both revenue, and if they want to compete, they will dilute the talent pool as well. The only way those programs can compete (beyond 1 or 2 games a year) is to draw from the existing Pac's pool of athletes.

Zona has landed a commitment from JUCO RB Kendall Williams - Butte College(Oroville, CA). He is considered one the best JUCO RBs in the nation. Rushed for 1,100+ yds & 9 TDs last season.

He will have 2 seasons of eligibility over the next 3 years.

I'm excited for the next couple of years. We'll see how good Rich Rod really is as far as developing the players he's recruited, most notably on defense. Personally, I think we take a step forward this upcoming season; I don't think 9 wins us out of the question.

stay at 12. wasnt a fan of adding colorado and Utah. I hate the fact that it kills natural rivlas and pair schools. that doesnt mean i would want Colorado State or Utah State either BYU would be a maybe.

BYU is my #1 choice if we had to expand. Happy with where we are.
