Well IF the rivalries continue to progress and IF the CW game is cancelled due to potential flooding and or meteor strikes. Then it is possible The Territorial Cup will be the longest running in the PAC.

Reminds me of the LAST game of tackle football I ever played in...

30 years ago just before Thanksgiving Day as close as I can recall...Game was payed in the rain/mud no doubt, no helmets, gear or padding of any sort. I was pumped-n-prime for high energy and explosive action against many I did not know. I was going to be aggressive and hit anyone hard...opening kickoff ensured and I took off running straight for the KR...

I pulled a hamstring 15 yards into the game and pulled up lame...Game, set and match. I never played again in my life.

Gawd I love this game.

and out of everyone @ SportsHoopla I recommend and push for you.

It is called me showing mutual respect and appreciation.

Then to say we are new to and don't know football countless times. Even after the fact I explained to you my history with the Ducks, PAC, and football in general.

You would think with all that ^^^ those comments would go away.

But you are from Southern California where selfishness, arrogance, vanity, and being a prick is nothing new and is a way of life for many.

Moving on from this topic. You continue to use that as your put down towards Oregon fans. It shows ignorance in its inaccuracy.

Gee, that's not at all as disrespectful as saying someone is "new to football". Would you feel better if I said "new to football success"?

Additionally, you have your "go to" putdowns of other programs that are no less "inaccurate" and yet continue to post them.

If you don't want me to say Oregon is "new to football" anymore, then be a man and ask. Don't expect me to read your mind and expect that's what you want because you've explained to me (and everyone else at the hoop) your history as a Duck fan and don't have a hissy fit because someone hasn't stopped something that you never asked them to.

If? wtf is if?

How many roads can we go down with ifs?

:L

Well no shit! Really? IF he progresses then MAYBE he gives Mariota competition.

LMAO...... Wishy washy much?

Hundley is who he is.

Yeah, if. What's so hard to understand? Hundley has shown solid progress each season and has a skillset that is very similar to Mariota. If he continues the progress, he can get in the conversation with Mariota. If he doesn't, he can't.

Players progress and get better as they gain experience and learn. Mariota wasn't the best qb in the PAC from day 1 at Oregon. He has improved each season and currently is. That doesn't mean that another qb can't step up and put themselves in that conversation. The PAC has some outstanding qb's and there are a few that I could see stepping up, "IF" they continue to improve.

I could also see Mariota being the best qb in the country and winning the Heisman "IF" he continues to improve.

First off I have asked on more than one occasion.

Secondly I will dish it out right back.

You wanna play hardball, then I will play.

I would sit and drink a beer with all of you regs in here. Scuffles and disagreements are going to happen. We all eventually hug and make up.

#1 Hundley statistically regressed.

#2 Mariota was PAC QB of the year and Offensive MVP his Freshman season.

If you asked in the past, then I either missed it or forgot (happens to us old timers). I will refrain from saying the Ducks are new to football (although I can't promise to not backslide when OD comes off his meds and starts his "natty on a platter" posts:lol:).

As for dishing it right back. Isn't that the point of message board smacktalk?:suds:

you can say it to whoever you want including me. But I am just saying. Expect the same response henceforth.

Not all Duck fans are the same and some probably are new to football. But that is why it ticks me off so much... That aint me. Enjoying the winning is much sweeter for me and many other Ducks that loved our team no matter what and were quite content every single season just being able to watch the games vs the PAC.

Just like not all but some people from SoCal are as mentioned above.

Mariota was the FOY (Freshman Offensive Player of the Year) his freshman year. Marqise Lee was the PAC's Offensive Player of the Year in Mariota's freshman year.

Pac-12 football awards and all-conference team announced | Pac-12

He was, however, 1st team All-PAC as a redshirt freshman. Going into the season, Matt Barkley was considered the best qb in the PAC, but we all saw how 2012 worked out for him and USC.

this is Wiz hedging his statements. So if Sark succeeds @ SC it is because "anyone can do it"

If he doesn't then "he was right and told us all so"

You are bound to be right. And for it..... I give you a cookie.....

I've said he might win a conference title or two, but will NOT win a national title no matter what talent he has.

I do love the insinuation given that so far USC fans are trying to basically say the same thing. I mean they are telling us how many obstacles were in their way last season including having a bad HC who left the team early and all that went along with that seasons drama and still won 10 games. I mean aren't they saying even a fucking moron can win 10 at that school?

That's not called hedging bets, that's called being honest about the situation. USC does recruit itself despite how much TF12 doesn't like hearing it. Coaching does matter, but I'm sure even their own fans believe there is no reason to ever not expect 10 wins in any given season based on their talent levels every year. The odd 11th win can't be out of the question then and that's enough to win a conference.

I'm not sure how much more you need. I said I expect them to come in no higher than 3rd in the south next year. That's very specific and something you can book mark and throw at me any which way you like if I'm wrong. I like UCLA and either ASU or Arizona (possibly both, but one is bound to shit the bed) better.

The national title winner will not be coming from the Pac this year. USC has no depth and a new coaching staff/sechemes. I don't see UCLA's defense being good enough to reach that stage. Stanford always drops games they shouldn't. ALWAYS. The ducks have helfrich and to me that's enough reason to say they don't reach it. ASU lost some big shoes to fill themselves and I don't know if Graham is good enough to take them there. If the conference winner isn't one of those then they will seriously not have the total package to reach the top 4 and make a run at it.

As for hedging bets I said before last season exactly how your season would unfold and was 100% accurate. You and your fellow ducks told me I was insane and I stuck by it. Didn't need to hedge anything. I also said UW would likely win 8. I said 9 or 10 wasn't out of the question, but I said I thought 8 all the way.

And I've been specific in saying Oregon wins 10 again this year (last season of double digit regular season wins) and UW I see at 9 right now, but they play 13. I see them going 5-4 in conference.

Where's your predictions? Let's see yours from last year and compare both of ours shall we?

You've seen me take all kinds of smack from all kinds of different posters towards USC (especially when Kiffin was our coach), including from you and most of it was a hell of a lot more harsh than saying someone's program is "new to football". I've never asked anyone to not use any particular putdown.

However, you've apparently asked in the past that I refrain from that particular putdown and I obviously missed it or forgot. Either way, I will refrain from using it out of respect for you and this thread. It's truly not an issue for me one way or the other. :suds:

I have no doubt that no matter how rustled his jimmies ever get by any of us that he'd still come up with a big grin and shake any of our hands and have a beer with us. We can all be asses at times up here, but I don't think any of our core actually takes it seriously enough to take it negativity off the site.

I mean he can be a dick when he talks about any of our teams, but I'd never have a problem sitting and having a beer with him. It's just words on a web page up here. He'd have to be a dick in person and I just don't get the sense that would happen.

I mean we know you wouldn't sit and have a drink with a UW fan. I mean we are way too beneath you to waste your time on and all.
