The post didnt offend me in the slightest. But maybe one of the 50 a day unsubscribed posters that read our thread it may have.

I have had to delete some my own posts for the same reason.

It certainly is different. There are dozens of people who come to this website and lurk on this thread. I guess it is just entertainment reading.

Miserable state? The weather is better, the beaches are better, the mountains are better, the golf is better, your dollar goes further. Certainly college sports is better by a landslide. The only thing WA has over OR is gay marriage and legalized pot.

Oregon is widely known across the country as Washington's retarded little brother.

The two states are nearly identical except that Washington is just a better version of Oregon. California has us both beat, but it is not worth paying the income tax to live there.

As for beaches, yeah. We drive to oregon and spend the weekend on your beaches and bring back some cheap booze before we go back to the better quality of life we enjoy up here.

Never been to an Oregon beach, but considering how bad the beaches are here I wouldn't be surprised if theirs are better. Although I can't imagine they are much different considering that the geography of these two states are practically identical.

There are two other forums I lurk occasionally, but they are both so active that it is difficult to recognize any one specific poster, which is probably why I don't post there. The people who lurk perhaps just like following the conversation and don't feel as if they have anything constructive to add.

I know at times the 'guests' on this site outnumber of the regular users 3 or 4 to 1. If they ever organized and grouped up against us they'd overthrow this site faster than Russia invaded the Ukraine.

I also know this site is busy enough that it attracts some media folks who use some of this as a bell weather for general fan opinions and we know there are haters from other sites that routinely stop in to see what the 'enemy' is doing. Still, the majority have to just be folks who are interested in the topics, but either too shy to contribute?

Seriously, wish if there was any UW fan lurkers around that they'd find a way to at least just say hello. There's too damn many quacks up here and we need a little backup here and there.

Um, we have mostly rocky beaches. Even in the northern most part of Oregon they have pure sandy beaches. Cannon beach is probably the top beach of the northern coast. Go mid way down and you start getting dunes and even more sand. All the way down and they are more like Cali beaches.

In all seriousness, if you haven't driven that coast you are missing something. Lots of cool little places to see on the way. I wouldn't live there, but it's worth a trip down there. It isn't the coast that sucks so bad for them, it's the metro areas.

Thanks for the tip. My experience with Oregon is pretty limited to be honest.

As far as the lurkers go, it could be other SportsHoopla guys lurking the site on their phone or something. Occasionally if I'm bored and not at home or work, I'll scroll through on my phone without being logged in just for entertainment.
