And it would be the exact same thing for every other team on here. Look at Texas and Nebraska, or Texas and A&M, or Ohio St bashing threads, etc. I bet if there was a thread started between Washington and Oregon it would go 10+ pages, they go on quite a bit in this thread.

Nobody is going to really sit around and let people bash their team. I got you to respond by calling USC cheaters. I don't really think that and generally disagree with the notion that 1 player screws the entire university and fan base over - but I said it to prove that point. The difference is the forum isn't 24/7 bashing of USC.

But I'm guessing the Alabama ones will get shorter and shorter, because I keep seeing less and less Alabama fans posting at all. Maybe just an off season thing, I dunno. But last year during the off season I saw more posting more often.

Seriously?!? You didn't get me to respond because you called USC cheaters. I responded because we were already in a conversation. Had you been having that conversation with another USC fan and called us cheaters, it's unlikely that I would have bothered to respond.

Are you serious about no 24/7 bashing of USC?!? Sure, it isn't happening now, but it wasn't too long ago that there was as much, if not more bashing of USC than there is currently about 'Bama or the SEC. During our run under Pete Carroll, there were constant threads about USC being overrated, not deserving to play in NCG's because we supposedly played in "weak conference" (that was a favorite of SEC fanboys), too much coverage of USC, Reggie Bush and even when we couldn't go to bowl games or be ranked in polls, there were threads because Lane Kiffin couldn't keep his idiot mouth shut.

Those threads didn't typically go on for pages and pages like the SEC/'Bama threads because USC fans didn't feel the need to defend our team against every single post. There is a point where one simply moves on and let's a thread die on the vine. Hell, there was a recent thread that went on for pages and pages because a couple of 'Bama fans had decided they weren't going to allow 1 poster to have the last word.

The funny part here is lumping TF12 and I together. The fact is I do HATE his team. I have zero respect for that program and I'm always happy to see them fail. I'm sure UW isn't high on his list either.

Hate bama? Naw, neither of us. Hate is something you reserve for actual rivals. Find something worth sharing a laugh over at some of the obvious inconsistencies of your favorite team? Yeah, that probably fits better.

At least we know the difference between friendly taunting and actual hate. Everything anyone else says about Bama is automatically hate and is never taken as just friendly taunting.

And since Oregon and UW fans really do hate each others teams it's sad that we can still tell that difference and you cannot.

You have such anger issues these days...all directed @ my lil' school now. Grandpa Riley? HA! We may have seen coach P's better coaching dayz at Boise and in college already. What he brings to the UW is an unknown for sure. Past success does not always bring a pot of gold with ya know. Maybe the "Big City" lights end up being to much for him...who knows. For all the recruit classes you guys get, not much of an ROI to show for it. At least my guys have improved minus last years free fall. I'll give ya that beatdown the Huskies laid on us in our house, made no sense, but happened. A run game is what we need for sure...balance. Looking forward to whatever happens up in Washington this year, sure the Beavs will play well.

As for Riley looking on the career downside? Well that statement by you is surely just jest. Believe that and you'll be disappointed year after year.

UW got rid of a coach that couldn't win more than 7 games (except last year he got to 8!) and picked up a coach that has been long wanted for by bigger BCS conferences since he took the HC job at Boise. What he did at Boise, as a duck fan I worry what he will do at Washington.

Meanwhile, USC got rid of a joke and hired a mediocre joke. If this was a comedy club, you got rid of the main act, and hired the opening act.

He is part of the enemy now. Intellectually we can thank him for his job of bringing our program out of the ashes to the point where it was again attractive enough for a real HC to take the job and still want to set fire to his vehicle when he again walks the sideline on Montlake. He lied on his way out and showed a lot about his true character and there is no way we won't take every opportunity to tell him, and those foolish enough to root for him, all about it.

We haven't had as much reason to dwell on it given that we won't see each other this year. 2015 will be a whole different story.

Oh I can tell the difference between friendly taunting and actual hate. There are a couple of LSU fans for example who say all kinds of things and I say it back and it's all tongue in cheek type stuff.

Hell, even Auburn fans for the most part are kind of tongue in cheek and/or just kind of general/normal stuff.

Go read the "Just an idea" thread. Now, if you are trying to tell me that OC Husker is just friendly taunting, then we will disagree. Same for that WNY_PROBABLY_JOHN_ALT guy who just came in the thread with his playoff crap. That has nothing to do with friendly taunting.

When there are 10 threads on the 1st page of the forum all about Alabama pages deep - that's not just friendly taunting. Hell, ChicagoIrish, a Notre Dame fan even commented on how bad it was and how it wasn't allowed to go in the other direction - tread was immediately locked.

But you were specifically talking directly to both of us who you know were just having fun. You can't use the generic everyone response about the vociferousness of your defense when it wasn't a generic and typical attack.

OD, 4D20 is a bammer and it's fun to pull his chain here and there, but he is also a Stanford fan and has been involved in many of our Pac conversations and was a regular contributor of our pac12 weekly pick'em.
