"Cakewalk nonconference" schedule:

First off Hawaii is a tough place to play, you can get shit faced on the beach with a couple ladies and next thing you know your missing the game

Eastern Washington- not that much of a calkwalk, (ask Oregon St fans, players, coaches)

Illinois- Big 10 is the toughest teams in the best conference, ask there fans they'll tell you

Georgia St- to be honest I didnt know they had a football team, I ll give you the calkwalk here....

Hawaii 1-11 this season and 4-20 over the last 2 under Chow. If Washington has issues here they have bigger issues all around.
Eastern Washington If 7-6 2011 Washington could beat them, a team that looks much improved should to. And Washington is a better team that Oregon State.
Illinois was 4-8 and Washington beat them by 10 on the road. UW should be able to do the same at home.
Georgia State 0-12 team that just finished their first year of FBS football.

Pac 12 schedules were just released. ASU lucked out with the bye weeks and the tough games are for the most part all spaced out. Nice change from last season, especially with a young team.

Well if Petersen can't win more than 8 with this schedule I'm sure many of us will be asking if he can translate his coaching to the major D1 level. I mean after a pathetic and total cakewalk OOC schedule add Cal, Colorado, Oregon State (sorry wallace, just not scared of your team right now), and WSU they have an easy path to 8. With ASU, Stanford, and UCLA at home they have at least a chance to steal one or more of those if they are playing half way decently. 9 regular season wins would be considered a push compared to this last year.

based on this I would guess Washington to finish with a 9 win season before a bowl game.

I wish UCLA was on a Saturday but at least they have to come when it's still 100+ outside and it gives extra time to prepare for USC. It would have been nice to play either Stanford or ND in the heat but with a young defense it's probably best to have those games later in the season.
