The shelf life of RB's is so short in the league and both of those guys have such high stock right now that they would have to be kind of dumb not to leave. Too much of a risk of blowing out a knee and really dropping their payday.

Never as easy of a question with other positions such as ASJ who might improve his stock by staying.

Really depends on how much need there is for RB's out of this class. The overall running game is down in the NFL, but if they are projected as being even near the bottom of the first round they really should go take that money while it's there.

True. I bet Chris Polk regrets not declaring early. He is currently 3rd string on a pretty deep Eagles team. Before the draft I believe a lot of draft websites had Polk going in the first 4 rounds but he went undrafted due to that injury none of us knew about.

Of the 25 SR's on the LSJU team 12 have a year left on eligibility. I really hope Reynolds and Andersen come back at the least. If they do not we could see Stanford become a team that has to score to keep the D out of deep water.

I'm sure everyone outside of UW and Zona is really hoping they both make the jump.

I'd pretty much bet anything Sankey will go at the end of the day. I really don't know about Carey.

I guess the more interesting question to me is ASJ. You have to assume Kasen is coming back after his season ending injury and a kind of quiet year. Going back to a more passing happy offense should raise his stock next year.

McNabb it will be my third RB and my pops second. My great grand dad was at the first RB (the skull crushing by Michigan in 1902), this is why getting my pops to the 100th was so important.

From Tony Pauline of TFY Draft Insider:

Many out west have told me it’s a forgone conclusion Bishop Sankey/RB/Washington will enter the draft. Ditto for tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, whose met with a number of agents. I’m also hearing rumblings that cornerback Marcus Peters, a redshirt sophomore who hauled in five interceptions and broke up nine more passes this season, is also giving consideration to leaving for the NFL. The question is how does the arrival of Chris Petersen play into the equation? Speculatively it could be a game changer for Peters returning, considering the success Petersen had developing cornerbacks at Boise State.

If I had to bet on it I would assume ASJ and Sankey declare. Peters will probably stay.

Well let me ask you how you would feel about him, and for him if he came back and blew out is ACL and it ended up preventing him from making it to the NFL? That's all I'm saying. It is kind of unselfish to say he should go see what he can do at the next level while he still can. Of course we would love to see him out there again for another year. It would be what is in the best interest of the school and our fans, but is it in HIS best interest?

But if we disagree then we disagree. All good to me.

It is the biggest fear when they do decide to return, ( don't get me wrong on that) I would love to see him go first round and have a fantastic career in the pro's ( it's great watching Polk run wild for my Eagles) I honestly feel he will come out, his stock is only get higher at the combines, granted its also a crap shoot for first round money since the NFL has changed the thought process of drafting RB's in the first round with the depth year in and year out, plus teams are going more and more to the two back systems while chucking the ball in the air more and more, cutting into carries for these backs...

As a UW fan I would like to see him come back but pragmatically I'm not sure what more he can do to improve his draft stock.

In terms of technique Sankey is as good as it gets, you cannot really coach him up anymore. He is an extremely patient runner and does just about everything that can coach really well. Statistically he had a phenomenal year and realistically I'm not sure he could improve his draft stock at all by staying unless the HB class is weak next year.

If anything staying could hurt his draft position out of concern of the amount of carries he had accumulated over his college career.

All he has to stay for is personal glory and the hope that his stock does not fall, because I don't know how it could go up.

Carey might be back. He said he still has something to prove and feel his team has been disrespected. Maybe he could come back. His comment after the awards, tells me that he's pissed off. I think he gos for 25 0-300+ in the bowl game. I'm calling it. :gaah:

Then don't lose to WSU or let your QB go off on twitter before being destroyed by your rival :noidea:

But seriously I feel bad for Boston College. Carey is going to absolutely go off on them.

Shouldn't be too long before it flips anyway. Already enough junk on this page to warrant a new one I'd say.

Like maybe right
