Problem is that one loss to Utah. To me USC looks the best in the south right now but they still count the early losses to conference foes. USC still has the Huskys so that one loss to utah early might keep SC out if Utah doesnt stumble more than once.

Yes, the early loss hurt. If you played Utah again right now I'd favor USC by at least 10. Utah's defense is fine, but I really don't have any faith in Williams at QB and what little of their offense I've actually seen so far this year I wasn't overly impressed with. It's been their defense keeping them in games.

I could see Utah losing to UCLA on the road, UW at home, and Colorado on the road. More or less I'm not going to give them the ASU game on a platter. Colorado has @ stanford and Utah, and home against WSU and UCLA as potential pitfalls.

USC really has @ UW and @ UCLA left. I don't see them losing to ND and they should easily handle Cal and Oregon.

USC having 2 losses and UW still on the schedule gives the Buffs a small margin for error. gotta take care of business vs Stanford this week, but have to admit it looks less daunting than when the season started. If the injury gods are in our favor might face UCLA down Rosen as well. we always seem to play Utah tough, even when we sucked so I'm feeling ok about that game. Wazzu looks tough though. glad those last 2 at home. fun being in the discussion this far into the season!

Only week 7. Plenty more ball to play to find a spot in the top 4. But I'd take a pac champ trophy and a Rose Bowl any day of the week as well.

Huskies are balling. Perfect coach for our program. We lived up to all that summer hype. Will be great for recruiting.

Certainly have earned it. While I am slightly favoring USC because of their easier schedule, the buffs are right there IMO. I think Utah falls off down the stretch and it will be between Colorado and USC. I mean slightly over the half way mark and you are one win from bowl eligible. That's pretty cool.

Oh I get that, but I have Utah losing maybe 4 of their remaining but 3 is possible. Even if USC loses just one They still get it if that happens.

ok...I'm recovered now...time to get to work on next Sats gameplan.

1) Gotta get the Bulldozer #34 healthy-n-ready. Amputate, I don't care.

2) Seth Collins has to have 12 touches and that aint counting the QB wildcat stuff.

3) D has to pickup the O mess as usual...play Utah tough.

4) Fire my current OC...to predicable, get him a clown suit and some kubaya sticks to bang next weekend on the sidelines. Find me a OC play caller guy who throws on first and runs on fourth.

5) Go deep early. Al Davis approved.

6) Pray for bad weather again...

I hate these kinds of headlines. Until they maintain then no. Arizona and Arizona State won the south a few years ago each. having a good season and even the appearance of looking good going forward doesnt automatically make next year or beyond a sure thing.

Not sure that can be true on defense when we will be losing half of them to the draft, but certainly on offense it's at least possible.

And Oly, I think those headlines should always been seen as in the here and now and not prognostications. The Wa schools are the power right now today. Next year? Who knows.

Juju tweeted he's fine. Was waiting on a mitchell date. Im liking what Darnold is doing. And Bebe has been a surprise. SC is going to need another wr to step up if Mitchell is out. It was good to see Pittman gat some reps. Juju shouldn't have been in the game at that point imo.

UW has hardly any senior starters on both sides of the ball. UW will lose both CB's but they're replacements are top notch.
