True, but even with all those yards Alabama's offense only put up 14 points. If UW was going to go down, it would've been nice to see them go down swinging before it was way too late. They needed a little more Pirate in them.
Neither play caller had a great day at the office that game. Theirs didn't just hand off the ball to their rusher every down like most would have and ours didn't even try to do things to get past that rush.

They werent trying to score a ton of points. Thats not their offense. They only threw 14 times all game because they wanted to keep it all undercontrol. They were averaging five n half yards a rush. The defense was making washingtin punt over n over. They just played conservatively and won easily. They are just beasts on defence. Washington USC Penn State Oklahoma. Were just not in their league this year. Maybe Clemson can beat them because no one else can.

The best teams execute in high pressure situations when the game is on the line. Bama did. USC did. UW didn't and neither did Penn State. Can't say much about most of the other bowl games because few were even games at half time. Ohio State didn't even dress up for the game ffs.

Almost all college football titles don't count as ncaa titles. Maybe your mad since Oregon can't even claim a peper tiger.
not mad about anything. also it isnt almost all its none. NCAA does not award a football title at the highest level.

Damien Mama will enter the draft. Thats three O linemen going to the NFL and one leaving as a grad transfer. Ok now I'm worried.lol . Viane Talamaviao ,Lobendahn, Chris Brown, Chuma Edoga and Nico Fahla Are the ones left with experience. They all played but Lobendahn was the only one with a huge amount of polaying time.

3 or 4 plays away?
Huskys had 44 yards total rushing. Alabama had 268. Were these three plays 100 hundred yard pass plays for TDs?
Yards don't=points. 1. Ross fumble, 2. pick 6 3. 60+yard run to the house. Not saying the Huskies would have won, however it would have gone down to the wire without a few mistakes. Only a few plays can sometimes make a game look out of hand.

Look, My team would have lost by the same margin or more if they played that game so I'm not putting down your team or their effort but you werent three or four plays away. You're removing turnovers from your team and removing big run on their end and you're forgetting you rushed for 44 yards and they rushed for 268 . How do you have a game go down to the wire when you cant pick up first downs and the other team is averaging more than five yards a rush and doesnt even have to pass? You want to know how many yards the Huskys got ? 194 yards total. You want to know how many USC got on Alabama in the first game? 194 yards. How many Kent State got? 166 yards total. How many Florida got ? 261 yards total. How .many Auburn got? 181 total yards. How about Tennessee. Well they got 163 yards. LSU got 125 yards. You see a pattern? They usually don't let teams do anything. They did have a couple games where they allowed the other team to score but they are good enough to put up points when they need to. They just usually don't need to. And you're saying yards don't equal points but it is a measure of how much you can do against their defense. Yes , they scored three touchdowns and a field goal and the Huskys scored one touchdown. But you can't take away two of their touchdowns and say see we were close. If that game was played for four more quarters the Huskys might have scored another touchdown but Bama would have scored another three themselves.

Not sure why it bothers you so much jim, but take away Jake's really bad decision that lead to the pick 6 and maybe tackle on the 3rd or 4th guy that their rusher got past and things are quite different. Doesn't mean taking those back is a win, and just like the Rose Bowl, bama executed when UW didn't and no one has said otherwise. It is still truth that there were a small handful of plays that were huge in that final score.

Actually if you take it a series back from that the Ross "fumble" Dawgs were moving the chains, had confidence and at the time score was 7-7, momentum can be huge

Yeah. if you stop the game after the Huskys scored their only points, then they would have won. But it's a four quarter game and The Huskys could only manage that one score all game and had as many yards as USC had in their thumping. You guys are delusional to think Alabama wasn't comfortably in control of that game.Your defense was playing pretty good but they didn't need a bunch of points to win. They didnt use their TEs and Wrs much at all because they figured why throw it and risk something bad happening when you're running it well and the other team isn't moving the ball. But hey take away all their touchdowns and take away all the Husky mistakes and yeah it's a close game .

Or if Alabama would have run the ball more they would have scored over 40.

Hard to get great blocking on offense in these all star games as they don't have much time together. And of course they are going up against an all star defense.

meh…I'll believe it when the kid's wearing the Orange-n-Black on game day.

:martini:
He also turned down WSU and for a WR that's also huge given the amount of yards you can make there.

It was a big upset and should have you excited for what they have going on over there.

Not really a major upset at this point. It was trending that way for a month.

The big upset would be getting Bubba Bolden from Gorman over USC and, at this point, keeping Jackson home.
