A case for Washington over Alabama.
LSU held Bama to 10 points. Washington defense could keep Alabama in the 20s
Washington offense is better than LSUs so it could score in the 20s against Alabama

so it's possible it could be close.

I'm feeling the game being something like 21-6 ish. I think Bama scores at least once on a turnover given their history combined with how Browning is under extreme pressure. I think he throws a pick 6 at some point. And bama probably gets another score on a short field due to another turnover or special teams gaff. I think our defense holds their offense down much of the game, but they have a distinct size and ability advantage. I'm sure we will break out a few big plays here and there and maybe get close enough for a couple of field goals and outside of that I expect to see a lot of punts.

Obviously I hope I'm wrong, but that's more or less what I expect to see. Really as long as they don't get blown out by 30 I'll be fine with it. Didn't expect this team to be this far this soon into Petersen's reign here. Going to take at least another couple years to build the depth you need to really compete at that level. None of the kids he has brought in are upperclassmen yet, more or less are we stacked in depth. This year was a huge step forward and as long as you are moving forward you can't be upset with the results.

Not saying it won't happen, but we are looking at the team that is #1 in TO differential, and a team that is the worst in committing TO's since week 7, and we are completely flipping that?

Hard to tell whether you look at how UW did against Stanford's level of players on both lines, or USC, but football is still a game won in the trenches and until they actually go out and prove they can play with a team that has that size and talent on both lines I'm not going to assume they can. I'll remind you that Browning was not good under the pressure USC brought and he gave up turnovers. What makes you think he won't have similar difficulties against what is undoubtedly a more difficult front 7 to face?

Can they beat them? Sure. Do I expect it? No. I'm a realist, but then I was worried about several games this year that they dominated so I'm kind of always like that.

You have a point on why UW might cough it up more, but what about Alabama? Washington will likely be on of their toughest defenses they played this year and Bama has been prone to give up turnovers against lesser SEC opponents.

I doubt they are going to pass all that much and most of it will be screens and other short passes that are less likely to end up in turnovers. They will play a tight game and be fully content on punting over making mistakes. If they get an early turnover score I wouldn't expect them to do a single risky thing the rest of the game knowing one score might be enough.

Sure, if UW finds a way to get an early lead their odds of forcing a turnover go well up and could make a nightmare kind of day for the tide. I'm just not expecting that to happen and will be happy to be wrong if it does.

Thats the thing. They can follow USCs game plan and do it with bigger faster players.

Good comment, but for some strange reason I think the Huskies will surprise quite a few people. I'm not saying that the Huskies will win, but I think Washington's team speed will surprise Bama and keep the score down. IMO, I think the score will be like 21-17, either way.

Company corporate christmas party on one of our owner's yacht last night for the christmas boat parade.
half a bottle of the Balvenie 21 year old portwood aged single malt scotch. And some beer.
Woke up passed out in the passenger seat of my car (thank god my wife didn't drink and got us home).
No idea where my car key is (also thank god my wife has/had one).
I barely know my own name today.

Isn't the holiday season fun?

BEGS THE QUESTIONS…were all your clothes still on when you finally woke up?…and do you still have a job?

So many unanswered Qs to this mystery Whiz...

Needless to say 'Bama is the better team. But they're fallible. It's hard to say how UW can match them in the trenches as they only played 1 team (USC) with top 10 line talent- and UW was dominated. Maybe that was an aberration and maybe not. But if UW can't man up in the trenches they lose unless they can create 4 or 5 turnovers.

I see it Amabama 38, UW 13

ASU also gave UW fits with their blitzes and scheme, but it's not always that simple in college. Teams do whatever they are best at. I don't think Bama's D is going to do things differently than they always do.

What makes Petersen so dangerous with a month or more to plan is his ability to adapt and implement game plans. You can bet they have spent a bunch of this time working on shoring up whatever their own perception of their weakness is/was that others might have exploited.

At the end of the day I'm picking Bama simply because they have bigger faster athletes than most other teams. They don't really have to scheme to beat you when they have that level of play. They will just try to out execute you and typically do.

Didn't turn into an asshole until I was in my car on the way home apparently so no damage done at work. Saw the president of our company today and all is well there.

Of course I had most of my clothes on. I was fucking freezing when I came in. 4 hours passed out in sub freezing temps will do that to you.

Oregon Ducks football players Tristen Wallace and Darrian Franklin are under investigation for an alleged sexual assault that occurred earlier in the year.

According to The Oregonian's Andrew Greif, neither Wallace nor Franklin has been permitted to step on Oregon's campus since October as a result of the investigation. Specifics of the case, however, have not yet been made available.

Greif reported that Lane County District Attorney Patty Perlow confirmed her office is investigating the allegations against Wallace and Franklin after receiving separate reports from police at the school and in Eugene, Oregon.

This has made me think of something.....

Hypothetical situation: What would prevent alumni from one school paying a woman or two at another school to file charges against a star player or two so they would be unavailable for a big game?

Now I realize if it's an SEC team they'd laugh it off and the players play. But aside from that...

Ofcourse if it was a tSEC or any Florida school, this would be swept under the rug by the local police.

But The "bitch set us up" defense...seriously???

Helfrich appeared to have cleaned up the program from the swamp scum levels Kelly had on his rosters, but an analysis of his time there says it didn't change all that much.

• DE Torrodney Prevot suspended after allegedly assaulting a former UO female student-athlete
• DL Austin Maloata kicked off the team following arrest for assault and DUI
• WR Darren Carrington accused of breaking a man's arm in late October
• DE Eddie Heard suspended indefinitely after assault arrest
• TE Pharaoh Brown accused of being involved in three past cases of violence

Agree. I'm biased and all, but I don't think this is gonna be a Bama/MSU or Bama/ND kind of game. I think the Huskies will at least show they deserve to be there.
