I really hate when kids do that. LSU is in the same boat.

Want to come out early? OK. Go get paid. Finish your damned season first. Your team helped get you were you are at. Don't bail on them in their finest hour.
Best comment of the day.

Really seems weird he would sit this one out. I'd get it if he were Fournette or but was probably the most disappointing player in college football this year, if I were him I wouldn't want any more negatives added to his draft stock.

I think SUBuddha is coming off the walk on squad and going to fill his shoes.

Yup ^^^^ what he said. I'm sure you can talk with your head coach and ask for a more limited role and be a decoy on a lot of plays. That at least helps your team. He doesn't need "draft prep". He's a well known player, a known commodity so the combine doesn't even help him.
I'm glad Juju and Adoree want to play in the Rose Bowl bad even though they might turn pro. They are probably the most excited about playing in it.

Im not sure if anyone mentioned it. But I believe Max Browne will be transferring to Pitt

I actually have very little problem with CMac leaving.

What about Shaw heading to the Rams? You think that's a real possibility?

Freeman returning. hopefully he can return to form from before this season. I mean he was just short of 1000 yards but still didn't seem like he did before.
also hopefully this doesn't cause transfers

Not going to happen, that is an older article, and Shaw has repeatedly said he prefers the college gig. Maybe someday, but not in the near future.

Don't they all say that until they actually do leave? I mean if there is even a 10% doubt in your mind you have to publicly say it's not happening to keep your recruiting class together.

I mean I'd be surprised if he does take it, but just because he says no doesn't mean it's not happening. If he was considering it, what could he say publicly that wouldn't hurt the team?

You're probably right. But word is that Kroenke is ready to open the vault for a coach. He didn't move the team to LA for 4 wins and watching fans leave at halftime.

I don't know what Shaw is making at Stanford, but I'd expect the Rams offer to be at least double that if they really want him. It would be interesting to see his reaction to that kind of money.

As I understand it Shaw started at aro8und 1.5mil p/y with his latest extension he should be at 4.5mil this year if you include the subsidized housing and other benefits. He will be at close to 8mil per year before his extension runs out.

If the Rams decided he was their guy, I'd expect Kroenke to come in with an offer that is significantly more than that. It might be incentive laden, but it will likely be significantly more. I know they have paid Fisher something like $40 million over the past few years for teams that was mediocre at it's best, is currently horrible and has the worst offense in the NFL.

I'd expect an offer to a coach he feels can get them where they want to be will be a pretty big offer. Maybe highest paid coach in the league or very close to it level pay.
