Jake Browning's game seems to be regressing and that has me worried.
Colorado has a fantastic pass D. It was obvious the primary game plan was to pound Gaskin and Coleman on them all game long. I think he was ordered to keep it conservative on purpose this game.

Eh. He seemed pretty sharp against WSU. Let's not forget we faced one of the best D's in the country.
This.

Turns out he's human and struggles when he's pressured and has no one to throw to, like everyone else, and Ross can't always bail him out when he under throws the deep ball. That's why they need to make the ground game a priority and stick with it.

I have to disagree with you on a few of those things. Browning made flat out shitty throws even when he had time in the pocket. He was missing open guys. Colorado gave up nearly twice the rushing yards tonight vs Washington.than the Buffs average. Even Browning said in his postgame presser that he was surprised Washington ran as well as it did tonight and it's a good deal the Dawgs did run over the Buffs tonight because the passing game wasn't happening.

That throwaway Ross 1 handed TD though! What an incredible play

I'm not going to say that Browning had his A game tonight, he didn't. But I'm not going to say his game is regressing either.

I think the Huskies quickly realized that our Oline was successfully exploiting the Buffs run D so they smartly went into full attack mode on it. Then the third quarter happened and that was all she wrote for Colorado.

Browning is a really good college QB. The SEC teams would love to have him since they have been winning with less talented QBs. But he's not all that, some of you posted early in the season. The best this and that I've ever seen. He's very accurate and he's got a tremendous receiving corps that help him a lot. But he's not very big or fast and he doesn't have a gun for an arm. Yes he's plenty good for his situation and he sounds like he studies for the games a lot and you'll win with him but he's not the QB you'll win because of him. He does get rattled in bigger situations it looks like and he does make some bad throws. That throw away TD was a great play by your receiver but a horrible decision by Jake. I don't think he will lose you any games because of him, he's not wreckless but coaches are now seeing how to play him. So that running game better be there like it was for Colorado. That's your only ticket. Because if it's just up to him it's gonna be a tough way to pull out a win.

For the SC guys: Are Juju and adoree coming back?

Hard to say. I hope so though.

Neither of them has said anything of substance. I doubt it means much of anything, but after the Notre Dame game, when the crowd was chanting "4 more years," Adoree started dancing to it. I think he was quoted as saying he's going to talk to his family first. Juju has said that he's going to do what Adoree does.

Reasons to stay: they will have the opportunity to be a part of a special season next year which would reward them for all of the bs they've had to deal with over the past 3 years, they will be among the favorites for some major individual awards (Heisman, Biletnikoff, etc.), they love coach Helton and may want to play one more year for him and the NFL isn't going anywhere, so that money will still be there.

Reasons to leave: other than the aforementioned potentially special season and individual awards, there really isn't much left for them to accomplish at the college level. They are both likely to be high draft choices and that NFL money is hard to turn down. They may not want to risk an injury that could hurt their draft status.

There's no doubt Browning didn't have a great game. Neither did Ross or Pettis for that matter. How many drops did Ross end up with? We will remember that outrageous catch, but he flat out dropped a few easy ones too.

Colorado set out to stop the pass and did an outstanding job of doing so. You could see a lot of run/pass option plays that went run.

I wouldn't say he is regressing, I would say Browning is vulnerable to defenses that can take him off his mark and throw off his timing. This isn't new and this wasn't the worst example of it.

What makes UW dangerous is if you key on taking away the pass they have a two headed monster in their running game. Look at how many times they ran the wildcat. I don't remember seeing that formation more than a handful of times all season and they ran it at least a half dozen times last night.

An effective offense takes what the defense is giving them. Both of your running backs went for over 100 yards and BOTH averaged more than 5y a carry. If whoever we play next has to key on the run and take that away I have no doubt the receivers will have more breathing room and Browning will find them.

Oregon needs to find their guy and get him on the payroll fast, but also get the right guy. Tall order, but looking forward to seeing who they come up with.

Normally I just figure Jrs who have that much game will be gone, they usually are. Juju I've thought will go, not only because he's projected to go high but because of the nagging injuries he's had. Thankfully no knee issues but he's had ankle , rib and arm/elbow injuries. But he really sounds like he's interested in what Adoree does. Adoree would benefit from more work at the corner spot. He will be drafted high if he comes out but He still has moments where he's a little lost and I think one more year would benefit him by working on his corner skills.

Agree. I've also heard that there is speculation that NFL teams may want him to play offense. If that's true, then it may ultimately be in his best interest to come back and let the coaches come up with a package of plays that will help him showcase his offensive abilities.
