Question about the SportsHoopla board, it says created in 2009, but it seems like most people here started around 2013? Was there a mass migration from somewhere?

The CBS boards shut down. The original group before that is/was ESPN guys I believe.

Yeah, big groups moved in every time they shut down another board. I came in when they shut down the ESPN boards.

Yeah, I'm not sure how anyone could talk smack to a fan base as beleaguered as buff fans have been. It's a great rags to riches story. Can't dislike their coach and really can't think of any of their players that have been douches that should be disliked. I'm sure a lot of people from around the country will be pulling for them tonight just for the feel good story part of it.

And yes, this site was built off of several mass migrations from other sports chat sites. It was created in '09 when ESPN went 'robust' and a bunch of them jumped ship. The CBS one was huge and a lot of us that came over then are still here now. ESPN finally killed chat and made another wave and a few other mostly smaller sites like fan nation and KFFL (whatever the fuck that stood for, can't remember) added more as well. The vast majority of people on this site came from one of those migrations or another.

Those CBS assholes though. Real tossers that lot.
